#for example. freddy is. i love that guy but he does nothing so they had to compensate with a lot of fluff LOL

because we got top 5 freddy facts can we get top 5 cuntress facts
OF COURSE
1 she is literally just transgender. like textually. stanley and i have joked about how its kind of written in the "cowards way" in that shes just a reincarnation that is basically a cis woman but considering this show came out in 2016 and the fact that there's like never any weird jokes about her gender i think this is like the best possible outcome. she has a few moments where she brings up like her old life and never really seems to think much of her weird little trans circumstances. casually talks about women she loved and theres never any jokes like "AHAAA but i am a girl nowww" or whatever. someone once wrote an entire article about her and this whole thing much to my surprise (same person picks up on tchaikovsky's trans implications as well but i forget if thats in this article or another one on this site. i digress) its great
for some reason her being trans made her also become blonde. its funny putting the two designs side by side

2 this is my favorite screenshot of her
3 shes got a job as a pianist for a local bar or something of the sort. kind of just implied she does random gigs i think? anyway theres some cute art of her playing the piano about it

theres a few instances where shes shown playing in the show and i think each time they use piano renditions of actual franz liszt pieces so she's literally just playing her own songs for people without them really knowing.... very very cute little detail
tangentially she's also shown to have a bit of a thing for alcohol which is a trait really only shared with schubert (her orange friend) and it never comes up in the show but GOD i wish they had a little scene of them getting blasted together i know they would.
thinking about it this actually comes up with tchaikovsky who's not allowed to drink on account of being like 15 and the way she prevents her from drinking is simply by stealing any drinks from her and chugging them
she rules
4 ive made the comparison before of white woman isel but she literally. just is. she has an entire motif about love and romance and gets excited when people's relationships are weird and complicated in a very like. "oh i am here to observe a story that will entertain me" way. very much has a penchant for the theatrics. and all of this is kind of surface level so the fact i bring to the table is that each time she has a fun little fancy outfit she always corresponds it to like. some kind of stereotypical archetypal fictional setting. her magical girl outfit is pirate themed and there's an entire episode about her literally constructing a fake cowboy au of all her roommates in her mind where she's a badass sheriff who made a pact with the literal devil. charms me A LOT that she kind of terraces around schlocky fiction that's all about drama. it's a cute little parallel to freddy's own dependencies on creating dogshit comics
5 this is not so much a fact as much as it is simply an earnest recommendation but she has an entire episode about challenging a guy to a piano duel where she spends all her prep time just working out. i cannot say any more about it because its genuinely just better experienced outright. if youve got like 20 minutes to waste just dip into season 2 episode 10 its probably the best episode in the show from an objective point of view and its all about her and its all you need to see
#honestly theres not as many fun facts about her because shes literally just like. maybe the best written character#and all the exciting stuff about her is literal Plot stuff because shes not as much of a narrative waste of space as like#for example. freddy is. i love that guy but he does nothing so they had to compensate with a lot of fluff LOL#or like. not necessarily plot stuff but a lot of information about her is just like. genuinely well-expanded on that it doesnt so much#feel like an aside as much as it feels pertinent to her entire development. yknow. anyway. shes sooo cool. i watched this show for her.#ask

To your anon who feels that One Direction is over and thereâs nothing left of it:
Grieving for the band is a natural outcome of grieving for Liam, and I respect your feelings about it all. Might I offer that those feelings can change, for the boys, for you and others who feel like this today, and for future fans?
Here are a few examples from my lifetime. It sucked when the Beatles broke up, and while I liked some of their solo music, it wasnât quite the same for me. Then two of them were gone, and it was awful. But the other two are still active in the industry. Iâve seen Paul McCartney twice in the last 10ish years. Heâs old, but he puts on a great show, with Beatles tunes as well as Wings tunes (his post-Beatles band), and other solo work. Beatles music lives on. You know who knows a lot of Beatles music? My kids and my grandkids. Because I still play it all the time.
I recently saw the Doobie Brothers & The Eaglesâboth are missing original members, but their old music is still awesome and their show was amazing. And they had highly respected musicians sitting in with them (to fill out instruments & sound), and even one of their adult children. Fans loved the show, sang along to every word, shed some tears during some solos and film footage of the missing members. But the music lives on, and so does the joy.
Last example is Queen. Iâve seen them 3 times in the last 10 yrs. Adam Lambert does an excellent job with Freddieâs vocals and also with respecting & honoring him. Only two original members are left, but some of the ânewâ guys have been around a long time, and sometimes Rogerâs son sits in on drums. They play all their hits plus new music. Shows are sold out on their worldwide tours because the music is brilliant, the shows are incredible, and fans want to be there to sing along.
Will 1D ever perform again? Not in the same way, but maybe. And the fans who love them and their music will be there. In the meantime, we have four solo artists who give us more amazing music, cover some songs from the band, and put on great shows. Enjoy what you can when youâre readyâŠand perhaps someday there will be more. I hope youâll be able to be there should it happen. I hope youâll share the 1D music we have and your love for it with the next generation. The music will live on if we want it to.
Thank you so much for sharing this, anon! I have nothing else to add â€ïžđ

Do you have some headcanons and favorite characters of fnaf?? If so, can you tell us??
Well, my favorite characters are the purple guy, and since almost nothing is known about him, I would not say that what I came up with for him would be headcanon. I mean, that notion is very much distorted now. Headcanon is something that can be inherent in a character based on the information that is available about him but which was not directly said. And I'll say right away that the fnaf books are shit and I don't like William from there. This pathetic rat doesn't arouse any interest in me, so I'm saying that we still don't know anything personal about PG from the games. End. And I also find it funny that after the release of the comic blue Capsules William is now British everywhere. Okay, okay. I got distracted. And so my invented fanon stuff about William and Henry and maybe some other characters
Williaml Afton â William is an American, but to make it more fun, I added Italian roots to him. His grandfather was Italian, but moved with his whole family to America, where William's father and he were born. I think it's funny that an Italian-American opened a pizzeria with mediocre pizza. â He has a little oddity. On the machine, he can put things in their places. For example, William is talking on the phone and does not notice how he removes the tools from Henry to the place where the tools are stored. â He carries a small comb with him to put his hair in order â He cooks delicious grilled meat â He wore such scary headgear braces when he was in college. He also met his wife there â He is the author of the slogan: "Remember to smile, you are the face of Freddy Fazbear's " He was recording tapes with instructions on how to handle with sprinlock â William was broken by death his children â Charlie's murder was spontaneous â William is a year older than Henry â He has small scratch scars on his hands due to the fact that he sometimes works with the insides of animatronics without gloves. â Despite his appearance, he is a strict boss
Michael Afton
â» Michael has a special feature. At some point, he stopped feeling fear. Something like braveheart syndrome â»Michael looks a lot like his father. â» Michael has a little foxy hanging from his belt. This is a toy from a vending machine that Evan received and gave it to his brother â» The idea of putting Evan's head in Fredbear's mouth belongs to Fritz( bully with Freddy mask). Michael didn't mind because his father had previously shown that if you put your hand in the mouth of an animatronic, the mechanism would simply open like the doors of an elevator. He couldn't have imagined that the jaws would shut down from Evan's tears. â» Michael started working at Afton Robotics at his father's behest. William wanted his son to gradually learn how to use machinery
Evan Afton
⏠Evan is not a scared whiny boy, as they like to portray him. Michael and Evan had a good relationship. But he scared him, right. And now let's remember that children can love being scared. Evan loved it, it was a game for him, but since he was small, he involuntarily began to cry ⏠Evan, like other souls, after death adopted parts of the animatronics to which they were attached ⏠Even after death Evan believes that scaring someone is a game, so there are open parts of the endoskeleton and claws in his design. He thought it looked scarier that way. As a ghost, he saw William killing children. ⏠He likes to watch
Henry Emily
⣠Henry wears orange glasses because his little daughter started laughing when she saw Dad in them. He thought that he seemed kinder to children with that glasses ⣠He dresses up for work in bright clothes to match the party atmosphere ⣠He made William be more alive in the image of Bonnie. William was very embarrassed to have to jump around the place in a bunny costume, unlike Henry ⣠Henry was writing the script for Fredbear and Bonnie show program. William adjusted the robots' movements according to this scenario. ⣠He likes flared trousers ⣠Henry designed the first animatronics and the security bracelet system (fnaf 6 minigame) ⣠Despite his appearance, he is a strict boss ⣠Henry has two children. This is Charlie and Sammy. As in the trilogy of books, they are twins
There were several gold suits If you remember the fabric with stars that hangs at pirate cove and Glitchtrap. I thought that maybe because Fredbear's family diner establishment was originally an adventure, William and Henry made such things out of what was at home. Barbara (William's wife) could have found in the attic the fabric from which she made vests for animatronics and something else as decorations for the Fredbear's family diner
Someone collapsed in a suit. And he survived
Afton Robotics is a completely underground large warehouse where animatronics are sent for repair and where they are created. The Funtime animatronics is used as test subjects for testing new technologies that will be introduced into new models
The official cause of Elizabeth's death was asphyxia due to the fact that she climbed into the ventilation during hiding
Well, I think that's enough for now.

Although on the topic of Red Dragon and the things they changed between the book and the tv show, I think itâs really, really funny how they recontextualize all of Dr. Bloomâs lines in regards to Will. Because it was Alan Bloom, in the book, but Alana said a lot of the same lines, nearly word for word! And when Alana said it, most of it could be interpreted in a romantic sense.
When Alan said it, it was just weird that he didnât like to be in the same room as Will if ut was just the two of them. Will is his friend. He is Willâs friend. Theyâre pretty comfortable around each other. If Will is ever alone with him, Alan will die. And like, Will is aware of this, so-
They also changed Freddy Lounds from a guy into a girl, which is funny because honestly, you could read both Freddyâs interactions with Will the exact same way. As in, theyâre both honestly amazed that Will says the shit he does. And both of them leave the audience craving to see them set on fire, but only one of them delivers.
Will is, perhaps, the most different character of all. Which makes sense. I think the idea is that Will in the show is younger, heâs uncomfortable with himself and others, heâs especially uncomfortable around people with pushy personalities because they tend to use him.
Will in the novel, on the other hand, is my dear beloved. He is exhausted. Jack Crawford comes in and says âone more time, Will, pleaseâ and Will says âno, fuck off.â Crawford weasels him into it, but Will is having none of anyoneâs shit for approximately the entire time. Will calls Dolarhyde gay to piss him off (this leads to Freddy Lounds being set on fire). Dolarhyde sends him a literal voice recording of Freddy Lounds telling Will that the Red Dragon is going to kill him-
ââReach behind you, Will Graham⊠and feel for the small⊠knobs on the top of your pelvis. Feel your spine between them⊠that is the precise spot⊠where the Dragon will snap your spine.ââ
-and his response is-
âGraham kepts his hands on the railing. Damn if I feel. Did the Dragon not know the nomenclature of the iliac spine, or did he choose not to use it?â
Which is very funny to me because it reads to me as Will going âpssh, amateur.â
(Will has a few moments of being very uncaring about threats against his own person. This is why itâs more effective when Dolarhyde goes after his family.)
Crawford is both different and similar in many ways. In the novel, he is a lot more clear with how heâs pushing Will. He knows that heâs pushing him to the limits, he knows heâs basically holding Will over a cliff with nothing to catch him, but he thinks itâll ultimately be fine. Even if Will does break, if he catches the Dragon first, it will have been worth it.
Itâs difficult to explain Hannibal in this book. Of all the portrayals, I feel this one is⊠the funniest? Like, he is a little bit obsessed. He wants Will to hang out with him. He wants Will to commit murder. He thinks Will is fascinating. Will refuses to give a serial killer (one who stabbed Will in the side) his phone number or address and Hannibal sends a fucking murderer after him. Hannibalâs actions directly lead to Will being stabbed in the face, and he sends a letter (that Will doesnât read, but Crawford does) that ends with the lines: âI wish you a speedy convalescence and hope you wonât be too ugly. I think of you often.â
Iâve said this many, many times in the past, but thereâs a reason NBC Hannibal portrays Hannibal as in love with Will. I want to use Silence of the Lambs as an example. He talks very casually with Clarice for a little while, then abruptly: âHow is Will Graham?â
For this one, I think Iâll just take a picture, because it amuses me.

Of course, Hannibal also brings up Alan and Frederick Chilton (I forgot to mention earlier, Freddy C.âs been here the whole goddamn time and had the gall to try and explain Hannibal Lecter to the man who caught Hannibal Lecter), but him bringing up Will has always been funny to me. His last letter to Will says âI hope you arenât too ugly.â Itâs been a few years now, and his question is basically: âIs Will ugly?â It isâŠ
I mean, I understand on a cannibalistic-serial-killer-from-the-80s level that Hannibal wants Will to look a certain way because he likes the way Will looks. Not on a queer level at all, itâs probably moreso because he wants Will to fit his aesthetics. Like I said, he wants to spend time with Will, and part of that requires Willâs appearance to fit. It totally makes sense in a horror novel that a character would be creepily obsessed with appearance, and Hannibalâs insistence on Will was probably discomfiting to a lot of the readers at the time.
But on the other hand, Hannibalâs obsession with Will in the modern day is really funny. Like, he just needs to know. Tell the man what he wants to know, Starling. You know Will Graham, everyone knows Will Graham, come on, tell me. Itâs incredibly amusing, especially the jump in their conversation from classical paintings to Willâs appearance.
Now, the correlation could be a few things. Hannibal could be implying that Will mocked him in some way and that his punishment would be the scarring of his face. But, that would make Hannibal have a bit of a god-complex, and thatâs boring. Another option is that he found Will to be reminiscent of a man in a painting. Specifically, the man in the painting theyâre talking about, which is a painting Hannibal did on the wall of his cell with crayons and magic marker (yes, that is what he said he used), which makes it kind of funny because wouldnât that be like Hannibal painting Will on the wall? If the painting reminds him of Will, then he only painted it because he knew Chilton would get the wrong idea if he painted Will. Which, maybe he did paint Will! Itâs not like Clarice knows what Will looks like, and Hannibal wouldnât just tell her.
Anyway, as Iâve said countless times, Hannibal in the books is only a bit less obsessed with Will Graham than he is in the show. Why is he obsessed with Will? The showâs idea that Hannibal was in love with Will and didnât realize it is a very clean answer. Even if one doesnât believe that Hannibal Lecter has the capability to love, which I would argue against since itâs disputed in the books and the tv show, his obsession with Will, an obsession akin to love, that he himself doesnât realize until itâs too late⊠thatâs fun.
Why is Hannibal obsessed with Will in the books? I donât know. Will thinks itâs because Hannibal wants him to be just like Hannibal, but I donât know if I would be so hung up on a guy for multiple years who just will not come visit or commit murder. If the books ever off an alternative, Iâve not seen it.
But, I think Hannibal wants to kill Will. I think he is a bit upset that Will saw through him and turned him in, but heâs also fascinated that Will saw through him. Will is fascinating to him. Will is afraid of himself, and thatâs fascinating too. Hannibal wants to kill Will, not out of hatred, but out of a sort of grudging respect. He wants to be the reason Will Graham dies. He wants to be there as Will Graham dies. Even when he sent a serial killer after Will, Hannibal didnât doubt that Will would live. And he wants Will to live, until he can wrap his hands around Willâs throat and watch the life drain away.
All this to say, I still have more thoughts on the Hannibal tetralogy than I previously thought.
#the inane ramblings of a madman#hannibal#hannibal lecter#will graham#clarice starling#iâm not tagging all the characters#some of them would have two tags for the same guy#lookin at you alan#it is a bit disappointing to me at times#that there isnât a lot of fanwork#contemplating willâs and hannibalâs relationship in the books#i think people take it as a given that hannibal just hates will and then move on with their day#but i just canât see it that way#why did hannibal write a love letter to the guy he hates#like yeah he would totally do that#but still#also just want to comment#on the male characterâs who have an absurd fascination with willâs back#it is⊠kinda gay ngl#dolarhyde kills freddy for calling him gay#but heâs the one daydreaming about breaking willâs back so#okay iâll stop now#long post#very long post

RUIN ENDING SPOILERS; OVERALL REVIEW OF RUIN AND MY OPINIONS ON IT
so
[PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!! IF YOU LOVED RUIN, GREAT!! IF YOU DIDN'T, THAT'S COOL TOO!! I JUST WANTED TO SHARE MY THOUGHTS ON THE DLC!!]
i'm gonna be completely honest-
i didn't like RUIN. i wish i could say i did, but i just. couldn't understand any of it
the endings are. bewildering- why can you walk into a freddy thing with the mask on and then suddenly get an unexplained cutscene w/ the daycare music what. im so confused?? the elevator scene w/ cassie was awesome, v sick idea but again it just doesn't. make sense to me why did gregory betray her what
honestly none of ruin really. makes sense to me?? like i can't comprehend what's going on and they just don't explain anything- i want to like it, i really do, but it's explained nothing and raised 5000 questions- its another example of FNAF going so sci-fi that a casual enjoyer just can't. grasp what's going on because of the hundreds of book tie-ins that are left unexplained or the insanely complex lore that's so goddamn hard to grasp
daycare segment was awesome though!! but there's. one little downside to it.
i was right, DCA only got 5 minutes of screen time unfortunately. which is hella annoying considering he's such a brilliant character and eclipse had SUCH a good setup to be an ally and then it went nowhere
(also i hate the mimic im sorry but i just cant. comprehend it nor do i like that you have to buy a ton of books just to understand who he is. also i dont get the AR stuff either that was never hinted at in SB what the hell is going on??? why is vanny's mask VR why can we walk through solid objects whats with the headless freddy what happened to glitchtrap who the fuck is the mimic literally NONE of this makes sense?? also why can we TELEPORT now since when was this a sci-fi novel)
OVERALL; loved the daycare segment, really love cassie and eclipse- didn't like the DLC itself and found it really really confusing- it does get bonus points for cool graphics though!! just. really wish it explained things
i do really love eclipse, cassie and ruin roxy though those guys are cool- and the aesthetic of the plex is brilliant alongside the ambience!! it just didn't match up to what i had hoped it'd be
#grayy rambles#fnaf#fnaf sb#fnaf ruin#fnaf ruin dlc#fnaf ruin spoilers#ruin spoilers#again this is just my personal POV on it!!#autism might be making it harder for me to understand the lore of ruin idk- could just be a problem im having#tell me yalls thoughts!! i love to hear other peoples opinions!!! /gen

Netflix's The Gentlemen Rant/Review (Spoilers)

If you've never seen a Guy Ritchie mob movie then you might enjoy yourself.
But if you're like me then you kinda - disappointed. and here is a rant:
I genuinely thought this was gonna be expanding on the world or characters of Gentlemen movie. I know they would not have the same cast but at least link them to the original story. But instead an entire 2 episode of retelling.
Susie Glass, not gonna lie I was hoping when she mentioned her DAD it would be in reference to the movie. Like maybe the Pearsons had a daughter that is now taking over the business! Like what is with franchises that don't like to touch or can cameos of the source material. She's kind of a spin on Rosie and kinda not.
I loved it when Rosie pulled out a gun, like I liked that she was elegant and posh but also mean despite her husband. Like wouldn't it be great if Susie was the daughter! I liked the mix of Matthew's southern accent amongst the diverse English accents.
The quick talking was fun but the character are watered down as fuck. Ritchie's movie and character are FUN and Kinda Cartoonish but that's what so fun about them! Colin Farrel as Coach, Hugh Grant as Fletcher. These ones are so serious which I get because it needs to span a TV series but this is a guy Ritchie spin off, not Succession.
Not sure if people notice that Guy Ritchie character structures are like a Shakespeare play. He spends the same amount of time introducing the low level criminals, side characters and the high end gangsters. They are interwoven by the same goal, consequences, and share 1 degree of separation wether they know or not.
In the Tv show, the main focus is the Duke and Susie, mainly the Duke and nothing ever comes back to bite him in the ass in the future the way it does in Ritchie's movies.
I will say there are some movie reference I appreciate:
the guns that blow the head off the guy (reference to lock stock)
there is a scene where Eddie pulls a cable to a pair of headphone (Reference to RocknRolla with One Two vs the Russians)
There is a chase scene that very much like Raymond's in the Gentlemen movie.
Finally the inconsistencies and editing. Good editing itself can be very comedic. Sometimes Richie skips directly showing a graphic scene to show the aftermath and let's the acting and script recall what happened - letting the audience's imagination wild. Example would be int he Gentlemen when The coach show the editor what happened between him and a pig. The Freddie's chicken sequence didn't need to pan out in order for the audience to understand how humiliating it is. If anything skip that, show Freddie crying and your brain will do the math. Equally and possibly more effective than actually showing it.
This goes for the scene where he accidentally pulls the chord to a pair of head phones in reference to RockNRolla. In RockNRolla, the two Russians pull the chord - LOUD music and to Gerard's face let's you know shits gonna get fucked up. and then it cuts.
In the Gentlemen, the chord is pulled and they duke it out. Which I guess yea but that point in the show there needed to be a fight scene.
But action sequence is misplaced.
In the first episode Eddie goes to a boxing match to find his brother who stole like 4 million pounds to gamble. Eddie confront brother but then walks away. As susie explains the truth about said gamble across the room Freddie. The shot of Eddie shakes more and more and the tiger roaring get louder and louder showing his growing anger. And you think Eddie, military man, he's gonna pink mist these the fuckers in the room! right? WRONG. HE JUST WALK OVER AND WAGS A FINGER.
Like I get it he's a duke....
In the gentlemen Movie Fletcher and Raymond recall a negotiation between Dry-eye and Micky where Micky suddenly shoots Dry-eye in the balls and lots of screaming. Cut back, it didn't actually happen and they just talked - Fletcher was just trying to spice up the story.
WHY DIDN'T THEY DO THAT. Why did they do they lion roaring and camera shaking, show him pink misting everyone and be like lol that was all in Eddy's head AND THEN he walks over and wags his finger.
And the only reason WHY I'm compiling about this whole shot of eddy being angry, camera shaking and lions roaring is that it only happens THE ONE TIME. They could have made it Eddy's thing where he's so close to snapping, it would have been part of his character but nah. that's it.
None of the characters really grow? Like Susie becomes more reckless but Eddy doesn't change much.....
This show is taking itself too seriously, and I love Ritchie movies cause they are goofy.
Ritchie did go from directing a couple episodes to only producing so that must have fucked things up.
So this is all I have to say for now.
#the gentlemen#guy ritchie#I can't believe I wrote a fucking analysis of Guy Ritchie#off duty || ooc

why do you talk about Louis using blue and green signalling as if it isn't about Harry, that what the blue and green are- do you not believe in larrie?
short answer for the reading challenged trolls to cut down on asks yes I am a larrie, not that anything is wrong with not being one. But longer (much more interesting imo) answer: We know H and L were together, but no one really knows if they are still or again- I personally mostly believe that they are, but I get why people don't think so and can't see any reason to get pressed about it. But you make a solid point- blue and green and certainly things like Louis wearing the H shirt don't potentially signify anything other than larry right? Well that's what makes it so interesting to me- I kind of don't think Louis IS using those things that way! As my recent anon pointed out (and I agree) he wants people to think he is Freddie's dad, he is not presently trying to be perceived as gay in the face of people trying to force him in the closet- he is in charge of his image and is choosing to publicly put forward that he is a guy who got someone pregnant and dates women. And I do think him and H are together, but I don't think he particularly wants to talk to us about that, if that makes sense? But I believe he does want to connect with his beloved fans on a more personal level, to revel in the acceptance and love and shared wink, I know you know I know, me and you until the end, our eyes meet, together we're the greatest- and I think he uses the larry imagery to do that, rather than to talk about his relationship. I could do this for days he gives us SO MANY examples to choose from but just to pick one: the all blue and green lighting for All This Time. Think about it- if he actually had images of a rainbow flag on the screens at his shows or waved one or something, it would make the articles and press and be a whole thing and revive every rumor ever about him in every tabloid! But if he makes the entire lighting and screens for a song blue and green (or wears a shirt with a giant H on it or any of the other one million coded things he does), well so what? No journalist would think a thing of it, nothing to see here- but the larrie majority of his fanbase hears him saying "you were right about everything and yes I am gay and I love you for seeing it" and go completely bananas! It's fucking ingenious tbh, SBB at his finest! And the fact that the song he chose for his current unhinged bluegreener fest was All This Time was for me the thing that really cemented this theory for me; I know some people disagree, but to me that song reads as being about him being closeted and his public life and the fans and choosing this lighting for that rather than for like We Made It or something really feeds my conviction that he is bluegreening on main as a way to tell us that he is gay rather than to tell us anything about his personal relationship. TLDR yeah I DO think he is signaling, a lot, but I don't think it tells us anything about the status of his relationship with Harry or anyone else and the reasons I think they are together don't have anything to do with Louis' stage lighting choices, but also that means I don't think it makes sense to say he's not signaling anything ever because you don't think they're together; both can coexist and I think it's just weird to act like he's not making pretty clear choices
#yeah yeah like I said I know some people disagree and think ATT is about harry#but that's true about literally anything he's ever written (which is annoying tbh) and I just don't agree ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ sorry#none of us know for sure! your take is as valid as mine! but this is mine#SBB#this is just about Louis harry blue greens and other things like mad too but with him#well I don't feel the same tbh#I think he is talking about Louis specifically much more often#but then his situation around what people think and what he wants them to think is different so there ya go#are you a larrie#eta I don't really think they are still together at this point#but Louis continues to do these things#which to me makes this even more the case#it already made sense to me as not about saying they were together so that doesn't feel strange to me

technicolor (f.w.)
prompt request by anon: it is said that when you meet your soulmate, you will know because the world that you knew in black and white would turn technicolor. during a harmless game of spin the bottle, you didnât expect your soulmate to be revealed to you.
warnings: drinking, mentions of eating, mild language
pairing: fred weasley x fem! gryffindor reader
word count: 5.3k
The power of true love was life altering in your world. Literally. The world was painted in shades of blacks, whites, and grays. It always was for those who hadnât met their true love, their soulmate, their one and only. It was said on the occasion that you had kissed your soulmate, the world before you would erupt into vibrant color. People spent their whole lives, searching for the person who brought color to them.Â
Living in a dull, colorless world was mundane to say the least, but it was all you knew. The idea of living in a world of color was an exciting thought to say the least, but in a way it scared you. Suddenly the world as you knew it changing abruptly before your eyes because you had met someone that destiny created for you? It was a scary thought. But in your head, you had nothing to worry about. You didnât plan on meeting your soulmate any time soon.Â
Or so you thought.
Laying upside down on the common room couch, you flipped through the pages of a Quibbler, not really paying attention to the words on the page. You looked on either side of you, Katie painting her nails on your left and Alicia on the right making light chatter with Angelina. Needless to say, the four of you were bored out of your skull. It was a quiet Friday night, nothing happening in the common room. No parties, no quidditch match, no nothing.Â
With a groan, you pull yourself up from your inverted position and speak, âSo are we all just going to sit around here like a bunch of bums and wait for something exciting to happen?â
Katie sighs, âThatâs even if something exciting happens.â She blows on her nails, shaking her hands back and forth to expedite the drying process. âDoes anyone have any ideas?â
The two of you look to Alicia and Angelina who just shrug as you throw your head back in annoyance. âWell, someone think of something because I refuse to let a perfectly good Friday night go to waste,â you flop the Quibbler on the table in front of you and hold your arms across your chest. âWhat can we do to entertain ourselves?â
Alicia stands up and starts pacing, trying to think of something. âWe could...sneak some food out from the kitchens? Convince a house elf to sneak us some sweets from dinner two nights ago. Those biscuits were so good,â she thinks out loud.
Katie groans, âThe thought of food makes me sick. I ate so much at dinner tonight after Ron challenged me to see how many dinner rolls I could fit into my mouth.â
The thought of Katie with bread rolls in her mouth makes the group chuckle. âOkay, so food is out of the picture,â Alicia speaks with a soft smile. âWhat about a movie? I can see if Hermione would let me borrow her projector and we could watch one of those movies I have tucked away in my trunk,â she suggests, surveying the groupâs reaction.
Angelina makes a sour face. âWe had a movie marathon last week, Iâd like to do something different,â she tells Alicia who rolls her eyes.
Alicia huffs, plopping herself back onto the couch. âWell, then Iâm out of ideas, so you come up with something, Johnson.â
The group sits in a bored silence for a few moments before Angie breaks the silence. âShould I go bother Fred and George? Surely theyâll find something to do. They always make things interesting,â she speaks, raising her brows, gaging her audienceâs reaction.
Katie rolls her eyes, âMerlin, Angie, if you want an excuse to see your darling Georgie, you can just say so.â You laugh at her comment and give Katie a teasing high five as Alicia giggles along. Angelina rolls her eyes and leans back on the couch. Angelina and George had been dating ever since sixth year when they kissed after their first date and they had seen the world in color, confirming their soulmate status. Katie mockingly starts teasing Angie now, âMeh, meh, Iâm Angie, I love George, I see the world in color. Meh, meh, my sweater is green and not black like you guys see it, blah, blah,â making you cackle, throwing your head back in laughter, clutching your stomach.
You lean into Katie as you laugh, making her laugh harder as Angelina stands up, âOh, piss off you two! I canât help it that heâs my soulmate and I found him so early!â
âWeâre just teasing you, Angie,â you wipe the tears of laughter from your eyes. âGo on, go fetch the twins. Iâm sure theyâll think of something to do. Tell âem to bring Jordan with them if heâs around. Lee is always a good time.â Alicia nods in agreement.
With a small smile, Angelina darts off up the stairs to the boysâ dormitory. Alicia shakes her head, âThat girl is whipped for the Weasley. I canât believe she found her soulmate already. Weâre not even eighteen yet.â
It was true. It wasnât unheard of people finding their soulmates at a young age, but it surely wasnât common. Most people were friends or knew their soulmates for a while before they were aware that they were in fact soulmates. For example, your parents both went to Hogwarts and we friends for years. It wasnât until after four years after graduation that they realized they were soulmates. You smiled to yourself at the thought of your parents. You wished that you could have a soulmate story like theirs.
Katie folds her arms across her chest, âQuite frankly I hope I donât meet my soulmate anytime soon. I feel like after you meet your soulmate, youâre expected to drop everything and be with them. But you have your whole lives ahead of you to spend time with each other. Iâd rather be single and have fun and live my life in black and white for a while before seeing color with a soulmate.â
In a way you did agree with Katie. Most people who met their soulmate at a young age tended to drop everything in order to be there for their soulmate. Coordinating their lives and schedules to their soulmates, moving cities for them, planning their days around the other. It just seemed so intense. You were seventeen, you couldnât drop everything right now for another person.Â
Moments later, Angelina happily came down the stairs with a large smile on her face as George, Fred, and Lee all trailed behind her. âThe entertainment has arrived, ladies,â George speaks with a big beaming smile on his face as you teasingly rolled your eyes.
You sit up and speak, âWhat entertainment did you bring, Georgie?â
He places a hand over his heart, pretending to be offended at your comment. âAre we not enough for you, (Y/N)? Is our presence not enough?â George mockingly stumbles back. âFreddie, I feel faint! Catch me!â
Dramatically, Fred scoops up his twin brother as George pretends to faint. âMerlinâs beard, (Y/N), look at what youâve done!â he mockingly screeches as you roll your eyes and giggle. Katie huffs a here we go as she leans back into the couch. The twins always put on a show when they were around you guys. You never minded it; they were quite funny when they wanted to be. âQuick, Lee, we need to revive him!â
Lee, now in on the joke, runs over to the coffee table and clear it quickly. âBring him here!â he exclaims as Fred lays a fake limp George on the table as you laugh and Alicia scoffs.
âGood Godric, you three are a bunch of idiots,â she huffs with a smile on her face. No matter how much she hated to admit it, this was much better than sitting around and doing nothing.
Fred speaks, âAlright, Lee, give me the reviving potion,â sticking out his hand.
Even more dramatic than before, Lee pulls out a large bottle of fire whiskey from his satchel as he improvises an operatic song as he places it in Fredâs hands. Lee opens George mouth as Fred uncorks the bottle and pours a glug into Georgeâs mouth. George swallows it and dramatically inhales. âIâve been revived!â he exclaims as the boys cheer.
Katie perks up at the sight of fire whiskey. âWhere in the hell did you get a bottle of that?â she sits up and grabs the bottle from Fredâs hands. Lee pulls out a few cups from his satchel and places them on the table, Katie immediately pouring everyone a glass of fire whiskey.Â
Fred smiles, âItâs our emergency bottle. In case situations like this happen.â
Folding her arms across her chest, Alicia speaks up, âAnd exactly how many emergency bottles do you boys have?â
The trio looks at each other before sighing and speaking as a chorus, âFour.â
âUh huh, thatâs what I thought,â she laughs before taking a cup of fire whiskey from Katie, Katie then handing you one. âWell, itâs better than nothing I guess.â
You look at the whiskey in your cup before sighing and taking a sip, the liquid burning your throat, but warming your chest up in all the right ways. A familiar sensation. You hum in contentment. âBetter than nothing is damn right,â you smile as the twins chuckle. âWhat were you lot doing upstairs?â
Lee takes a seat in the chair across from the couch, âSame thing as you gals. Bored out of our skulls. However, these two numbskulls were trying to conjure up a plan to go pull a prank on Filch.â George snickers as Lee flicks the back of his head, earning a small ow. âGood thing you all were bored too otherwise I would have been dragged into that mess.â
Fred scoffs, âOh please, you wish you could pull off a prank at the caliber that Georgie and I do. Isnât that right, brother?â He turns to George who is already cuddled up next to Angelina on the love seat, arm wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her close next to him. Fred rolls his eyes and makes a gagging sound. âYou two make me sick.â
George just pulls Angie closer to his side as Angie blushes a deep crimson. âYouâre just jealous, Freddie. Iâve got a hot girlfriend and I can see the world in color, making it quite obvious that you, dear brother, are green with envy.â Angie rolls her eyes, but still places a soft kiss to Georgeâs cheek.
Fred shakes his head, âHeâs gone soft, Lee. Weâve lost one of our bravest soldiers.âÂ
âPiss off,â Angie speaks up, defending her boyfriend as Freddie chuckles, lips turning into a gorgeous smile. âNow that weâve all got our drinks, letâs really get the party started...â she wiggles her eyebrows. âKatie Bell, truth or dare.â
Katie groans and sips her fire whiskey before deciding what she wants to do. As she ponders, you see Fred scoot over to you as you giggle, him dragging his bum on the floor, making his way to you. Fred smiles up at you, âThis seat taken?â he refers to the spot on the floor right in front of your legs.
You shake your head with a smile, âItâs got your name written all over it, Weasley.â
Fred gives you a cheeky grin, âBrilliant.â
He turns around and leans his back up against your legs and rests one of his arms on your knees. You and Fred were close friends. In fifth year when Angelina confessed to you that she had a crush on George, you started spending more time with the twins and developed a close relationship with them and Lee. You, in particular, got along with Fred like a house on fire. The two of you loved to crack jokes on the sidelines, teasing George and Angie, giggling and stealing little glances here and there.
Angelina always told you that you and Fred would make a cute couple. She insisted she saw the way that Fred looked at you, but you always brushed it off as if it were nothing. You and Fred were friends, nothing more, nothing less. A partnership would just totally ruin the vibe between the two of you. There was no point to it. Even though you may have always admired Fredâs looks from a far and his charming personality, you had finally convinced yourself that you and Fred Weasley were platonic.
As Fred leaned up against your legs, sipping on his whiskey, your eyes found Angieâs as she lifted her brows, looking at you knowingly, sending you a look that said Oh? You rolled your eyes and shook your head, responding with your eyes, No way. She just shrugged and sipped her fire whiskey nonchalantly as if to say Whatever you say...You just brushed it off and leaned back as Katie challenged Lee to a dare.
----------
The night progressed and the drinking continued and the bottle got less and less full. Soon enough, the common room was full of your tipsy giggles as the lot of you cracked jokes with each other. You hugged your sides as you cackled as Fred did a spot on impression of Draco Malfoy as he mimicked him walking through the halls, yelling âPotter!â every now and then. Of course, the humor was amplified by the liquor in your hands, but it still was hilarious. The whole group was in a fit of giggles as Lee quite literally fell to the floor from laughter too hard.
Alicia laid her head in your lap as she laughed, wiping tears from her eyes as you all recovered from laughter. âFred, that was brilliant. Youâll have to show Harry tomorrow morning,â she tells him as Fred plops down next to you on the couch, stealing Katieâs spot as she was now sat on the floor next to Lee.Â
Fred chuckles and rests his arm around the back of the couch, gently hovering behind you as you suddenly become very aware of his presence. You spot Angelina out of your periphery vision as she smirks to herself before leaning over and whispering something in Georgeâs ear, making George look at you with a devilish smirk on his lips. Your gaze towards them hardens as you mouth, Knock it off. George just smiles and sips his drink quietly, pretending to mind his own business.Â
You turn to Fred and give him a soft smile as he drops his left eye in a wink, making your heart skip a beat. âEasy, Weasley,â you say in a cautious tone as he lifts his arms in defense. You shake your head and lean back into the couch, bumping into his arm that is draped across the back of the couch. Neither of you bother moving.Â
Alicia rises from your lap and reaches for the fire whiskey bottle, but groans in defeat when she realizes itâs empty. âBloody hell,â she groans. She looks to Lee and begs, âIs it appropriate to call this an emergency and you can grab another one of your emergency fire whiskeys?â
Lee laughs, âI regret to inform you we have a one emergency bottle a night policy.â Alicia groans and flops back onto the couch. Suddenly, a light bulb goes off in Leeâs mind, making his eyes grow wide and a little smile dance on his lips. âHowever,â he wiggles his brows and surveys the group. âNow that weâve got an empty bottle, I think we all know where we can take this party...â
Looking up from her cup, Katie says, âWhere are we taking the party? Are we going to bed?â she asks with sadness in her voice. âBut the night is so young!â
Shaking his head, Lee looks at Katie. âAre you daft, Bell?â he asks as she rolls her eyes, sipping her whiskey. âI meant we could play a cheeky game of spin the bottle,â Lee suggests.
Alicia huffs, âReally, Jordan? What are we? Fourth years?â
âOh, come on, Spinnet, itâs just to add a little spice to the mix,â Lee shimmies his shoulders making you laugh. âBesides, it gives you an excuse to have the privilege of planting a sloppy one on me.â
Alicia fake gags. âIâd rather spend a whole day with Professor Snape,â she spits as Lee laughs.
George speaks up now, âAngie and I will sit this one out, but we will watch the show.â He pulls Angie impossibly closer to him as she cuddles into his chest. âFor obvious reasons,â he smirks. Fred boos his brother and throws his now empty cup of fire whiskey at him. âWhat? I am not kissing someone other than my literal soulmate,â he rationalizes. âBesides, youâve got five players. Thatâs enough. That is, if everyone is comfortable playing.â
The group all looks at each other, gaging everyoneâs feelings of playing a cheeky game. You had to admit youâd rather not play a game as childish as spin the bottle, but for a weird reason, you were keen on playing at least one round. As you looked around, it seemed like everyone was on board to play.Â
Your eyes meet Fredâs for a moment as he looks at you, his eyes darting from your eyes to your lips for a split second, hoping you wouldnât catch him. You quickly turn away, trying to hide the heat on your cheeks. âI donât see the harm in one game,â you shrug as you see Fred smile from the corner of your eye. Lee claps his hands cheering as Alicia and Katie agree.
Fred speaks up, âWell, I canât let Lee be the only bloke having all the fun, now can I?âÂ
Everyone is on board with the game as Lee cheers, âAlright! Five for five!â He places the empty bottle of fire whiskey on its side in order to spin it. âEveryone knows the rules. You spin and kiss whomever it lands on, no matter who it is. Iâm looking at you, Weasley. If you land on me, I expect the best snog of my life,â he teases as you all laugh wildly. âWhomever the bottle lands on gets the next spin. All good?â Everyone nods. Lee smiles, âGroovy. Welp, youngest goes first. Bell, youâre up.â
Katie giggles, âPut on your chapstick, you lucky sons of bitches.â Alicia laughs as Katie reaches and spins the bottle. The bottle does a series of spins, turning clockwise as she anticipates who sheâll be planting a kiss on. She nervously dances back and forth as you watch her with a small smile on your face.
Slowly the bottle stops spinning to land gently on Fred. Your heart stops for a second and your mouth runs dry. You blink a few times and swallow hard. The group all claps their hands and laughs as Katie rolls her eyes. You on the other couldnât help but have a tight feeling in your chest. You force a smile on your face before you look at Angelina quickly. She raises her brows, monitoring your reaction as you just shake your head, letting her know you were fine.
Katie scoots over to Fred as Fred leans down. âGet ready for your mind to be blown,â Fred jokes as Katie slaps his arm.
You watch very intently as Fred ducks his head down to connect his lips with Katie. You stop breathing for a moment as you watch Fred kiss one of your closest friends. Your palms start sweating and you pull yourself away from looking at them kiss. Lee and Alicia oooh and giggle as you look at Angie, eyes screaming at her, Okay maybe Iâm not fine.Â
She gives you a nervous smile and mouths, âItâs just a silly game.â
You nod your head and shake it off. It was a silly game. Thatâs all. A stupid, silly, childish game. It meant nothing. You knew Katie didnât like Fred like that. She had fancied Adrian Pucey for a few months now. This kiss meant literally nothing.
It felt like the kiss had lasted for hours when it was a brief five seconds. Katie pulls away from the kiss and returns to her position on the floor. Fred just smirks and leans back in his seat, dragging his thumb across his bottom lip. You watch as he does so, the small gesture being surprisingly attractive to you as you gulp. But you quickly turn around so Fred doesnât catch you watching.
Katie laughs, âEh, youâre nothing to ride home about, Freddie. Hate to break it to you.â
Fred shrugs, âItâs alright, Bell. The first stage of grieving is denial. Youâll eventually accept that that kiss was the best one of your life.â
Lee cackles as Fred joins him in his laugher before leaning over and spinning the bottle for himself. The bottle spins round and round and round as you watch it, the bottle hypnotizing you. You secretly wished that the bottle would land on you, wanting to be able to kiss Fred Weasley and getting the confirmation that you didnât like Fred in that way. But honestly, you just hoped it was anyone but Katie or Alicia.Â
The bottle slowly stopped spinning as it gently landed on Lee, making the group erupt in laughter. Leeâs lips drew up in a devilish smile as he rubbed his hands together, âHere I come, big boy!â he exclaims, making you laugh even harder.
Fred laughs and sits up in his seat. âGive it to me, Jordan,â he challenges.
Lee springs to his feet and grabs Fredâs face with both hands, squeezing his cheeks together before smashing his lips on Fredâs. Fred is laughing as Lee kisses him roughly, rocking him back and forth. George is absolutely dying of laughter, falling into his chair as the rest of the group squeals.Â
Alicia grabs onto your arms, squeezing you as she laughs, you doing the same. The kiss happens for a while as you cackle, âGood Godric, come up for some air why donât you?â
With a smack, Lee pulls off of Fred as Fred falls back in his seat. Fredâs eyes are wide as Lee wipes his lips. âAnd that,â Lee points to Fred, âis how you kiss someone. Not that pathetic thing you gave Katie.â
The group comes down from laughing at Lee spins the bottle for himself. The cycle repeats for a while. Lee kisses Alicia, Alicia kisses you, you kiss Katie, Katie kisses Lee, and then the bottle spins again. Lee spins and the bottle gently lands on you as you giggle. âIâm expecting excellence, Lee Jordan,â you eye him as he laughs. âNot going to lie, Alicia might give you a run for your money.â
Lee rolls his eyes, âIn her dreams.â
You giggle before the two of you close the gap between you two, kissing each other. The kiss is honestly not bad. Leeâs lips tasted of the fire whiskey along with vanilla and sugar. The kiss was gentle, but not bad at all. Your friends around you all cheer and oooh at you two in typical fashion as you both smile into the kiss. You pull away and Lee sends you a wink. âThe reviews are in,â you speak. âNot bad, Jordan. Not bad at all. Actually, pretty damned good!â
Lee pumps his arm. âHah! Take that, Spinnet!â
âAlright, my turn to spin,â you giggle and excitedly spin the bottle.
The bottle spins and spins and spins as everyone waits in anxious anticipation. Who could it be? Slowly, the bottle stops spinning and lands on the person right next to you, Mr. Fred Weasley.
Your heart stops as your mouth goes dry. Everyone immediately erupts into cheers, specifically George who springs onto his feet. âOh, Iâve been waiting for this one!â he cheers as you gulp.
Kissing Fred Weasley? Maybe this game was a mistake.Â
You stare at the bottle, and then to Angie who wears the biggest grin on her face, and then back at the bottle and finally to Fred. His eyes stare back at you as you gulp. A smirk dances on Fredâs lips as you suck in a breath. The whole group stares at the pair of you, silent, waiting for something to happen.Â
The tension between you and Fred was so thick you could cut it with a knife. âCat got your tongue, (Y/L/N)?â Fred teases you as he scoots a little closer to you. You suck in a shaky breath as he chuckles lowly.
You snap yourself out of this anxious gaze and speak, confidence now coursing through your veins. You were going to kiss your best friend and it was happening now. âMake your move, Weasley,â you challenge with flirtation laced in your voice.
Fred smiles, âNo need to tell me twice,â he lowly whispers.
Immediately, Fred cups your cheek and brings your lips to his. Your lips connect and the whole group loudly cheers and screams. You hear Lee scream, âOh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit!âÂ
But you couldnât care what was happening. You were kissing Fred. Your heart was beating a mile a minute. Fredâs lips were soft, but demanding as they pressed firmly onto yours. His lips tasted of sweet cinnamon and spice; his lips were like a personal drug that you couldnât get enough of. You pressed your lips harder against his as you both sucked in a breath, your hand resting on his forearm. His lips moved gently against yours as you both enjoyed this kiss too much for a friendly game of spin the bottle.Â
You opened up your mouth enough for Fred to slide his tongue in, massaging his with yours as you moan just loudly enough for Fred to hear, making him smile into your kiss. As the group watched you two softly snog, they only cheer louder. You were too involved in relishing in the way Fredâs lips felt pressed against yours to care about how your friends were reacting.
The kiss was everything you wanted a first kiss with someone to be. It was gentle, but didnât lack in passionate or desire. His lips moved in sync with yours as you followed his lead, his tongue dancing with yours. It was exactly how you imagined kissing Fred Weasley.
You are pulled from your thoughts when George cries out, âFor Merlinâs sake Freddie, donât eat the poor girl!â
Gently, you break the kiss as Fredâs lips follow yours for a moment, not wanting the kiss to end just yet. The two of you keep your eyes closed, relishing in the moment that you two shared.
Lee laughs, âIs it just me or is it hot in here?â
You giggle and gently pry your eyes open. But thatâs when you gasp.
You look at Fred who sits in front of you in full color. His bright red hair contrasting against the light blue thermal shirt he wears. His brown eyes stare at you just as much in shock.Â
It happened.
âMerlinâs beard...â you whisper.
The room fall silent as your friends stare at the two of you in confusion, wondering what could have possibly happened that made the two of you stare at each other in shock.
âIs it...â you start.
âYeah,â Fred answers. He lets out a light laugh. âYeah, it is.â
You let out a light laugh with him and slowly, look around the room taking in your surroundings, the whole common room in beautiful colors of maroon and gold. Color dances everywhere as you let out an amazed chuckle.Â
Looking at Angie with amazement, she suddenly realizes exactly whatâs going on. A smile erupts on her face as she lets out a sigh. âGood Godric,â she breathes. She looks at George. âIt happened.â
The entire group registers what is happening as they stare at the two of you in awe as you two take in your surroundings gentle. âOh shit,â Lee breathes out with a smile. âThatâs bloody brilliant...â
You look back at Fred who just wears a gentle smile on his face as you look deeply into his chocolate brown eyes that swim with amazement and adoration. You could look into those eyes forever. And lucky for you, thatâs what you were going to do.Â
Breaking the silence, Angelina says, âWeâll leave you two to it then. Guys...â
Your friends all start to leave the common room, running up the stairs to the dormitories, definitely to chat about what just happened.
You are now left with Fred in the common room, sitting on the couch together, staring at each other in technicolor. âHi, Freddie,â you breathe out with a smile.
Fred smiles, âHi, (Y/N),â he reciprocates. The two of you just take the other one in for a few moments as you gulp. What were you supposed to say? What were you supposed to do? Merlinâs sake, this was supposed to be a cheeky game of spin the bottle and all of a sudden. âWeâre soulmates,â Fred speaks plainly.
âI guess so,â you laugh. You gently bite your lip. âI never thought it would be you, Fred.â
He inhales a long breath. âI had a feeling,â Fred admits as you teasingly smack his arm. âIâm glad I was right,â he confesses as you blush. âYou have the most beautiful eyes Iâve ever seen. With and without color,â he tells you. âI didnât think that you could get more gorgeous, but color has proved me wrong.â
You shake your head, âFreddie...â you trail off, blushing wildly, crimson appearing on your cheeks for the first time. Fred takes your hand in his and gently rubs his thumb over your knuckles. You give into his touch, nothing feeling more right. âIâm so glad itâs you.â
Fred lifts your hand up to his lips and presses a kiss to your knuckles. âWeâre soulmates,â he repeats himself as you nod. âWow...so, we get to spend forever with each other, huh? Youâre going to get really tired of me, arenât you?â he jokes as you laugh.
âI could never grow tired of you,â you confess, squeezing his hand. You run your hand through his red hair. The signature of the Weasleys that you could finally see now. âI do have to say though,â you start. âI was not expecting your hair to be this red.â
Fred laughs, âGet used to it, darling. Youâll be staring at it for the rest of your life. Not to mention, the Weasley genetics are strong. Sorry to say that if we decide to have kids, theyâll end up like this.â
You roll your eyes, âLetâs not get ahead of ourselves, Freddie.â He smiles and sends you a wink. âSo,â you breathe out. âWhat do we do now?â
He inhales deeply and sighs. âWell,â he starts. âI think we ought to tell people, specifically our parents,â he says as you nod. âBut other than that, we do what we want.â You gaze into Fredâs eyes and smile. â(Y/N), we have the rest of our lives together. Thereâs no rush. We can go at our own pace. We donât have to pay attention to what people say we should be doing. Iâm just happy that weâve found each other that way we can start forever now.â
Your heart fills with joy and adoration at his words. You had always worried that you wouldnât love soulmate, nevertheless like them, but loving Fred Weasley was going to be the easiest task of your life. Living your forever in color together.
âSounds good to me, Weasley,â you smile.
Fred leans in and closes the gap between you two, kissing you again sweetly like he had done minutes ago for the first time. His lips are even gentler than before on yours as you smile into the kiss. Fred pull away and smiles, âReckon we go upstairs and get the teasing out of the way from the lot?â
You take a moment. âLetâs wait a little while. We have forever for them to tease us. Weâll only have this moment for a short time.â
He shakes his head. âMerlin, youâre perfect.â
And there the two of you laid in each otherâs arms, taking in the new colorful world before you, souls now connected forever. And you wouldnât have it any other way.

When I was running around for the pizzaplex, trying to understand what to do, I did found a plant in Monty's room.
I found it really weird because that was the only little angle where things were in order and...well...not broken...?
The other things like that were: Monty's little statue (IF HE HAD MADE IT FROM THE NOTHING HE'S A FUNCKING ARTIST!! THE QUALITY OF THAT LITTLE MONTY IS CRAZY), his bass, a coctail probably empy and that plant. Plus the green bottle with Helpy's face on it.
Even a cute flower, in her square pink vase and healty! I dunno, considering Monty's behaviour this cause me some...mixed feelings. Every group need and equilibrium, there's the boss/cool guy, the smart one and the sensitive one. Preferibly color coded, look at the Chipmunks. In any case it is needed an equilibrium, every image of Monty we see show him as a nice and calm fella. Like Bonnie looks! Is it possible that after the "Bonnie Accident" they wanted to give Monty everything of him? I mean, not only the bassist role but also his character? That would explain a lot about his rage issues. He's expected to be like Bonnie, to behave like Bonnie, to BE Bonnie but he's not. He'll never be because he is Monty. Montgomery Gator and his personality and attitude are completely different. Why Roxy is so obsesses by being liked? Why Chica is obsessed of food? Why Freddy is psicologically weak? We had seen how Vanessa scrolled Freddy in the game. If you live in a toxic environment that could have consequences also in your behavious, you could be a nice and calm person but if put, for a long period of time, in a toxic emvironment full of toxic people you change. In worst. So maybe Monty HAS a soft spot, but he's obsessed by this duality caused by his programmes. He want to be himself, however, he's supposed to behave like Bonnie. He's not Monty for the others, he's Bonnie's replacement.
Roxy is supposed to be cool, strong, the 'femminist simbol' of the group, but she feels sad too. She have negative feelings too, her programmes and the people around her tell her she's strong and has to behave as such. That means not talk about your feelings or problems. Take everything inside for not look weak, until you explode and end up with an obsession. The idea if you're not beautiful and strong nobody will love you.
Chica? Chica is exactly what it looks like. She's programmed to be a fitness model, the cute slim girl, but she's hated for be that. She has to be an example, still she likes junk food. Another controversial thing, a dualism that fight inside of her and that she has to fight alone. Why? Because like the others they are SUPPOSED to like that. Chica a fitness, slim, cute, energic girl. Roxy a strong, indipendent woman, a winner. Monty a calm and chill person. And Freddy the leader.
All of them are supposed to behave in a way, to be a model, to act in a role inside their group. But they are just not like that. Freddy is insecure as shit, I think because everyone put the responsabilities on his shoulders expecting him to be able to manage. Whitout think about his feelings or doubts or fear. Are you scared to sing alone for three days staight because the others are in manutention? Your shit. You're the leader, the brand face, you have to do it right. If not we replaice you. Roxy is insecure as shit and not that mentally strong. She need constantly to be pleased, but because nobody do it she does. Chica can't stay away from food, even if, for be a fitness model, in a toxic mentality, you have to. Causing her an alimentary disturb. Monty is supposed to be chill like Bonnie but he's passionable and edgy. So, because during the day he has to act like somebody else he can be himself only during night hours.
At least that's a theory. Another one could be way easier. Monty has a soft spot. He really likes flowers and relax with a drink but he still has a reputation to mantain. So he can just hide it in a little corner of his room, where he's sure he'll not broke the vase.
This born mostly because this plant, and the cocktail, are present only in his room. Every room has a some details that tell us something about their owners. Maybe Monty is actually a nice fella, maybe he has that trait that the group would need to much for be equilibrated again. But he's just too pressured to feel able to show it. I mean, if you leave in the streets you grow an armor around you, it's natural, because you know you are in a dangerous or hostile environment. Monty probably feel like this, so, if he would feel accepted or relaxed he would show that trait of his character to the others.
Another thing that intrigue me is the green bottle. It's not the first time we see it around the game. THE ARE LITERALLY BARRELS OF THAT CRAP!
Appositively in place not avaible to pubblic. Is is possible that liquid has something to do about the anomatronics function? I'm not saying it's remnant but what if it is the "Krabby Patty" formula of the situation? Another post for that....maybe...

Record Mirror (July 14, 1979): 119/?
THE QUEEN BACKLASH ENDS HERE
WITHOUT DOUBT Queen are among that elite number of bands universally hated by the rock press.
The rancour is, make no mistake, mutual which is understandable. If you find yourself on the receiving end of an inveterate dislike at the outset of your career and watch it being nurtured and carefully cultivated over the next six years youâre bound to retaliate.
Queenâs hatred manifests itself by their continued habit of ignoring the music press i.e. refusing to give interviews. There is the occasional token âchatâ, pointless as it is innocuous, but in the main it amounts to a blanket âNo.â
One of the last interviews Freddie Mercury gave was the last nail in the perspex coffin. Under a headline which boldly asked âIs This Man A Prat?â the king of the leotards was demolished by one of the old school Queen haters and Freddie obviously came to the conclusion, in its wake, that interviews in future would be both superfluous (he was popular enough) and detrimental.
The curtain, velvet naturally, closed.
Roger Taylor, a little wary, a little weary, sits stiffly in an armchair. The juggernauts rattling the Chelsea Street outside create a sonorous buzz bomb hum in the room.
You expect a member of Queen to look elegant. In fact Roger is only wearing a wine colour mohair jacket, black shirt and blue jeans.
He apologises for being a little late and explains how he went to the wrong address. Roger seems to be the only member of Queen left who is prepared, albeit rarely, to open his mouth in the presence of a hack. A question springs to mind . . . why?
âWe all sat around a table before I flew over from Munich to discuss the press situation and we agreed I should be the one to represent the band. Freddie is very uncompromising and refuses to have much to do with journalists.
âObviously, heâs had a few raw deals with them in the past,â observes Taylor.
Roger himself has a rather low view of the music press.
âMost of it is rubbish. There was something I liked recently, a piece on Malcolm McLaren, but in the main I think Iâm the only one of Queen to actually read the music papers.â
Why does he think the band are systemically slagged?
âI think itâs because Queen have always come across as being a rather confident band. We seemed, to other people at least, to be very sure of ourselves. I think the press may have misconstrued the confidence, mistaking it for a form of arrogance. Hence they became wary of our motives which bred a dislike for our music.â
Now thatâs what I call a neat conclusion.
At the risk of being sent to Coventry by my colleagues Iâd like, if I may, to come clean. I love Queen (youâre fired, Ed).
I think it all began with a simple pre-packed but indisposable line â âDynamite with a laser beamâ and has continued uninterrupted (despite the occasional flaw) right through to âQueen Live Killersâ.
A combination of reasons, Freddie Mercuryâs lascivious lisp â the most attractive intonation known to man . . . Brian Mayâs reel âem off rococo riffs that would, in his capable hands, transform the theme music for âWaggonersâ Walkâ into a meisterwork . . . John Deaconâs almost stoic stance, incongruous yet integral . . . Roger Taylorâs intense power, so unexpected from one so slight . . . the ability to go over the top without failing into the trap of caricature . . . a desire to give the punters what they want without pandering . . . that cast iron confidence . . . those nine glorious winter weeks of âBohemian Rhapsodyâ which kept the cold away from my soul . . .
Yes, I love Queen.
Roger explains the story behind âKillersâ which features just about every Queen classic which ever found its way into a silk lined memory bank.
âWe always knew that one day we would make a live album. I think it was well planned. About 90 per cent of our last European tour was recorded on a mobile unit and we then spent weeks sitting through the songs in the studio.
âThe result is a 100 per cent LIVE album. Nothing has been touched up in the process of selection, I think thatâs pretty rare these days. Many âliveâ albums are tampered with.â
The choice of single is unusual â âLove Of My Lifeâ. âItâs not so unusual when you hear the way it came out. The song seems to have such a wide appeal. Everywhere we go the reaction to it is the same. The audience are just bursting to sing along.â
The result is Queenâs best single since âDonât Stop Me Nowâ (that was their LAST one crawler, ED)
As I mentioned earlier the band are currently residing in Munich where they are âexperimentingâ in the studio.
âWe are recording in a totally different way for us,â says Roger who speaks with a delicate London accent only typical of cockneys with dramatic training and David Essex.
âEvery time we entered a studio in the past we had a good idea of what we were going to do. This time we started from scratch and the result is amazing. The music is nothing like anything weâve done before, I guess you could say itâs much simpler.â
And this novel approach to their music also extends to their shows. On their next British tour â in the late Autumn â the band will be playing much smaller venues than they are accustomed to.
âIn London for example we went to play to audiences of about two or three thousand in different areas. I think itâs much fairer to the fans.â
But wonât this affect their stage show which is after all a crucial factor for any powerpomp outfit?
âNot really. We will just scale down the show accordingly. Besides,â he says taking another bite out of the biscuit, âwe havenât used dry ice in years.â
The monkey on Queenâs back, as corpulent and cantankerous as ever, has been put there by those who firmly believe the band can never emulate past achievements. Roger is cognizant of its presence but refuses to unpeel its bananas.
âThat all began after âBohemian Rhapsodyâ. When it stayed at number one all those weeks we were kindly informed that we would never be able to make another single to rival it both artistically and from the point of view of sales.
âYet âWe Are The Championsâ sold a great deal more and has since become the biggest selling single in the entire history of Elektra Asylum â our label in the States.
âWe donât do the amazingly complex things any more because weâve moved on from that. We concentrate on the music we are doing now and we intend to do it the best we can, itâs ridiculous looking behind and and what youâve done.
âThereâs nothing like going back on the road to re-unite the bond between the four personalities and strengthening our belief in the band. We are a real working unit and, in my experience of the music business, one of the most democratic bands around today.â
A statement like that cries out to be expounded.
âPeople think every member of all the bands, not naming any names, are treated equally that is get the same money as their colleagues. Thatâs rubbish. In many bands there are a couple of guys that get all the money. The rest are on wages. Queen share the profits equally.â
And they donât have a manager taking his cut either, John Reid departed a couple of years back and now the band themselves make all the major policy decisions. Why did they decide to dispense with the services of a manager?
âBasically because we were fed up with giving other people money. Yâknow it never ceases to amaze me how naive those guys are in bands who have just had their first hit. After all this time Iâve forgotten just how naive we must have been at the beginning.
âI mean, everything seems so great when you get into the charts for the first time. Youâre living on cloud nine and nothing else matters. But in truth that hit means absolutely nothing. So few people achieve any amount of financial success in this business.
âOh, you think, youâre really living . . . for a while. Somebody gets you a flat in Chelsea and itâs all free. But one day the rent stops being paid for you and you realise youâre skint.
âSince John Reid has gone the four of us have always made a point of discussing everything together. We have various people working for us but all the important decisions are made by us alone. That way we get freedom of choice â and financial independence.â
My attention is suddenly diverted.
âFORTY-LOVE!â Wimbledon, the Persil White opiate for the hoi polloi squashed in a strawberry crush wrings out its perspiring petticoats on the TV in the next room. Â Rogerâs girlfriend, an extremely attractive French girl called Dominique, is engrossed. The couple have lived together for two years. Crippled old marriage questions permeate the air.
âI donât believe in marriage,â says Roger. âItâs simply a contract and the fewer contracts I enter into the better. If you get on well with someone then there isnât any harm in living with that person â but marriage is something else again.â
They live in a six bedroomed Victorian house just outside London, which is set in 20 acres. Roger has a âtinyâ town house in Barnes as well. Whatâs it like having a bank full of money at the age of 29?
âI donât hide away from life. Queen have never been one of those âbeing grabbed in the streetâ type bands. It may happen when the four of us are together â but when we are out alone we are seldom bothered. That gives me the opportunity to enjoy myself. I go to clubs a lot. I like having a good time. I donât think you could describe any of the band as leading sheltered lives.
âBut I have completely lost touch with how much things cost. When you find yourself living in hotels for so long you never really deal in money as such. Everything is available whenever you want it â but you never see the cash actually being handed over.
âIâve forgotten what it was like to be penniless which Queen were for years. I guess that must happen to many successful rock bands.â
Another thing that happens to many successful rock bands â they quit the country. But not Queen it appears.
âWe have always based ourselves in England and I see no reason why we shouldnât continue to do so. We could leave at any time but we choose to stay. People believe we are tax exiles because we spend a lot of the time out of the country recording in studios all over Europe and touring.â
And what will happen when the band finally trudge wearily down the road leading to that  ivory strewn elephantsâ graveyard . . . ?
âI know itâs bound to happen one day. I suppose Iâd take a long, long holiday . . . and then make a solo album.â

You Bring Me Home â Chapter One: Flightless Bird, American Mouth

a/n: I've been working on this story for mooonths now and I'm so excited to finally share it with the world! It's heavily inspired by Harry's Behind the Album mini doc, except I changed the setting to Hawai'i because I've personally spent some time there and as they say, write what you know! YBMH takes place in the period between One Direction's hiatus and Harry's first album/tour, but with that being said, this is entirely a work of fiction and some events don't follow the true timeline. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my little story, I hope you love it as much as I do! It will be updated every Friday at 5 PM PST. My inbox is open, so feel free to talk to me once you've finished reading! I'd love to hear from you :) Much love, Mel <3
Pairing: Hawai'i!Harry x Original Character
Warnings: swearing
Word Count: 5.5k
May, 2016
Harry watches LAX get smaller through the airplane window and visualizes all of his worries stuck at the terminal gate, their magnitude also diminishing as he takes flight. He sinks lower in his seat and skims through playlists on his phone when a nagging feeling at the back of his mind pulls his attention away from the screen. Looking up from the song choices, he spots a cell phone quickly lowered from his line of vision and a girl with flushed cheeks who quickly averts her gaze. Harry shoots a tight-lipped smile in her direction and goes back to his phone with a sigh. The days when he could roam the streets freely without fear of recognitionâor worse, harassmentâfeel like an entirely different lifetime. He sometimes imagines that heâll wake up back in his childhood bed as if the past five years had all been a dream, but he never does. In fact, his privacy and anonymity seem to dwindle with each minute of radio play that One Direction receives. Itâs a bittersweet pill to swallow, but one he hopes will go down easier with some time in the Hawaiian sun.
His close friend and new manager, Jeff Azoff, had suggested the vacation as soon as the band privately agreed to take a hiatus.
âYouâll go home for a few weeks,â his voice had crackled through the speakers of Harryâs phone. âVisit your mom and Gem, lay low for a while until the smoke blows over,â
Harry mulled it over in his mind, eyes flickering over the rolling landscape outside of the tour bus window.
âThen what?â
âThen you go for a little vacation. The label offered to cover a house in Hawaii so you can start working on the album,â
âAlone?â
Jeff chuckled lightly on the other end before responding. âI mean, if thatâs what you want,â
âNo,â Harry corrected. âYou and Tom should come. Mitch and Bhasker, too,â
âThe dream team,â
âAnd thereâll be a studio there?â
âYes,â Jeff started, almost hesitant. âBut I donât want you to think about that too much,â
âBut you said the labelâ"
âI also said vacation. Look, Rob said âit will all happen in due time,' did he not?â
Harry twisted the rose ring around his finger, tracing over the silver petals and thinking back to his conversation with the CEO of Sony Music, Rob Stringer. Upon the proposal of his debut solo album, Rob had told him that the most important ingredient for a successful debut would be patience. The singer had agreed in the moment, but every day not spent in the studio felt like a test he hadnât studied hard enough for.
âYeah.â
âSo you take the free vacation,â Jeff suggested. âYou go out, live, get some writing material. Maybe mess around with some tunes. And then we come back to L.A. and get to work. But until then, I just want you to focus on taking it easy.â
So take it easy he had. Or at least he had tried to when he was back home in England. Harry quickly grew restless after what felt like the millionth awkward conversation with past friends and acquaintances, all of which eventually led to the topic of One Direction and itâs unexpected hiatus. After one month at home, his mind and journal were full of ideas for songs, things that he wanted to say before he lost his nerve. One night as he tossed and turned in bed, he shot Jeff a text, just two words that would kick off a three month getaway to the Big Island of Hawai'i:
Iâm ready.
********
âSounds great, I'll go put in your order.â Alani offers sweetly, trying not to overdo it with the customer service voice. After waiting on the family at her designated table, she heads back to the kitchen and finds her younger sister, Pua, crouched in the corner taking what appears to be a serious phone call.
âI donât know, I just saw it!â Her sister cries in a hushed tone. âWhere do you think heâs going?â
âIs everything okay?â Alani cuts in with concern.
Pua whispers into the speaker before bringing the phone to her shoulder.
âHarry Styles was just spotted on a plane this morning,â
âWho?â
âThe guy from One Direction,â her sister explains with a hint of irritation in her voice. âThe band who sings that song you secretly like, âFireproof,'â
Alani vaguely recalls the melody, but she waits expectantly for Pua to elaborate. âAnd this is news becauseâŠâ
âBecause the band just broke up, so where could he possibly be going?â
"The unemployment office?â
Pua rolls her eyes and returns to her phone call while Alani envelops her in a tight hug.
âIâm just kidding!â Alani apologizes, squeezing tighter despite her sisterâs attempts to break free. âIâm sure heâll be living off of royalty checks until heâs, like, eighty,â
âGet off me, freak!â Pua cries out, finally breaking the embrace.
Alani clutches her chest and pulls out an invisible knife. âOuch. Iâm telling Harry you said that,â
âThis is exactly why I donât tell you things.â the younger sister huffs, storming out of the kitchen through the employee entrance where Alaniâs best friend, Maleah, has just arrived.
âLooks like someone forgot to eat their Cheerios today,â she remarks, tying her curls into a high ponytail.
Alani shrugs and leans against the counter. âSheâs going through something. Just discovered that boys in pop bands are, in fact, just regular boys.â
âPoor thing,â Maleah frowns. âWe all have to learn eventually.â
********
The sky is a blend of cotton candy pink and burnt orange when Alani returns home from the café with a strawberry smoothie in tow. She empties the mailbox and sorts through the various bills and advertisements, but her stomach drops when she sees a familiar return address label. After a quick greeting to her excited dog who waits at the door, Alani bolts up the stairs and quietly shuts the bedroom door behind her. Breathe, she reminds herself before tearing into the envelope and discarding it onto the wooden floor.
Dear Ms. Hale,
We are very grateful to have received your submission to Rolling Stone magazine. However, we regret to inform youâ
She doesnât read the rest, slumping to the floor in defeat. The sixth rejection letter from Rolling Stone lies crumpled at Alaniâs feet and she kicks it across the room with a frustrated grunt. She had worked for over two months perfecting her analysis of Joni Mitchellâs Big Yellow Taxi and its allusions to the environmental impact of urban development in Hawaii. As part of her initial research, Alani had even traveled to both the Royal Hawaiian hotel in Honolulu, which is the famous Pink Hotel mentioned in the song, and Foster Botanical Garden that Mitchell referred to as âthe tree museum.â She was certain that her effort and persistence would result in at least a consideration. The second third time's the charm! Maleah had joked watching Alani submit the piece. Six articles in the span of two years, each one facing the same rejection despite the increased effort Alani had put in over time. The fact that the rejection letter hadnât changed over the course of the two years brings an incredulous smile to her face, and her stomach turns when she considers that the editors probably hadnât even read her work, anyway. All that effort, she thinks to herself, all that time, for nothing.
âIt will take time,â her favorite professor, Dr. Hudson, had reassured her three months after the Joni Mitchell article was submitted. âEvery great writer faced countless rejection until that one piece. Yours will come. Keep your eyes open and your pen ready.â
Alani sighs and lifts herself off the floor, choosing to crawl into her unmade bed instead of slumping onto the hardwood. She hears a soft scratching at the door before her King Charles Spaniel, Freddie, pads into the room.
âCome here, bubs,â Alani whispers. He obeys and burrows into the duvet, giving her temple a gentle lick before nuzzling into the nape of her neck.
âYou still love me, right?â she asks, voice cracking. âEven if Iâm a failure?â
Freddie sniffs her ear in response.
********
âRight,â Harry says, his tongue peeking from the corner of his mouth as he reads the map. âNo, left, sorry,â
âDo you actually know how to read a map?â Jeff teases, correcting the turn.
Harry pouts in response, his brows furrowing. âIn my defense, weâre literally in the middle of fucking nowhere,â
âThere are worse places to be,â Mitch pipes up from the back seat. âEngland, for example, where they say things like âlitchrallyâ,â
âVery well said, Mitchell,â Jeff Bhasker adds with a fake British accent of his own.
Harry turns to his friends in the back seat with a finger pointed like an agitated mother. âIf you lot donât shut up, Iâm gonna lead us to a volcano and push you in,â
âWhere are we even going? I forgot,â Tom complains.
âTo get food,â his manager responds from the driverâs seat. âI think,â
âWhy canât we just stop there?â Mitch asks pointing to a cafĂ© pulling up on their right.
Jeff merges into the turning lane quickly without a second thought. âGood enough for me, Iâm starving.â
âSorry, H.â Mitch pats his friend on the shoulder.
Harry scoffs. âYouâre the one who wanted poke.â
The Aloha Nui Loa CafĂ© is much more spacious than the exterior suggests, yet it still feels cozy. The walls are painted sage green and adorned with various local art pieces, as described by the plaques that accompany them. A skylight fills the center of the room with plenty of warm lighting, leaving the space along the walls in a bit more shade for an intimate feel. In one corner, a hanging disco ball leaves freckles of sparkling light along the walls where the sunlight hits, making the whole image very idyllic in Harryâs mind. As if he couldnât enjoy the setting more, he hears the beginning of an Otis Redding song that heâs had stuck in his head drift through the restaurant speakers.
âWelcome in!â a voice calls, which pulls him from his survey of the room. His head whips to the sourceâa girl around his age with wavy, dark hair and honey skin. âFor here or to go?â
Harry takes a hesitant step up to the counter. âFor here,â
She smiles warmly and pulls some menus from under the counter. âHow many in your party?â
âFive.â
âGreat, follow me.â
Harry and his friends follow the waitress to the corner of the room under the disco ball and take their seats at the round table.
âMy name is Alani,â she introduces herself, setting the menus down. âIâll be serving you today. Can I get you started with some drinks?â
Harry continues scanning the restaurant while his group orders. His eyes land on the shirt that Alani is wearing, a white tee with the words âEnjoy Health, Eat Your Honeyâ in blue lettering that surrounds a picture of a cartoon bee.
âHarry,â Jeff says gently, catching his drifting attention.
The singer turns to his manager, who nods to Alani waiting with a pen pressed to her notepad. Harry feels a rush of embarrassment creep across his cheeks and he clears his throat to cover it.
âJust water,â he says, eyes glued to the menu. âThanks.â
âYou got it.â Alani nods, flashing a toothy grin at the rest of the group before turning back to the kitchen. Harry. Her mind repeats, finding a hint of familiarity, though she doesnât know why.
When Alani arrives at the drink station, she finds her sister staring at her, mouth agape, while Maleah unsuccessfully conceals her laughter.
âWhat?â she questions, checking herself for any embarrassing stains or smells.
âYou wereâand heââ Pua stammers. âHe wasâand then heââ
âThatâs Harry Styles,â Maleah translates, her voice hushed as she peers over her friend's shoulder.
Alani turns to steal a glance at the table she just seated, but Pua and Maleah latch onto her and shake their heads frantically.
âDonât look!â her sister hisses.
Alani smirks, amused at their reactions. âNo shit. Thatâs One Direction?â
Maleah snorts, clasping a hand over her mouth as Pua huffs. âNo, dumbass! Itâs just Harry. I donât know who the other guys are,â
âBut the blonde guy? Thatâs notâ?â
âNo!â Pua and Maleah giggle in unison.
âOkay, geez,â Alani relents. She manages to steal a quick glance at the table over her shoulder, immediately searching for Harry. Her eyes scan over the long, curly hair kept out of his face by a pair of white sunglasses that she had seen on Kurt Cobain once. All of his features are sharp and striking, from his pointed nose and defined jawline to the bright blue eyes. Or maybe they were grey? Alani wonders, trying to remember the exact shade. He doesnât look anything like the fresh-faced teeny bopper sheâd had in mind, the one from a music video her sister had shown her a long time ago. She would have never guessed that the What Makes You Beautiful singer had so much dark ink trailing down his bicep and forearm, though her knowledge of One Direction was very limited.
âWhat did he order?â Pua questions, her eyes wide.
Alani quickly snaps back to reality and resumes filling the drinks. âA water,â
âOh my god,â Maleah swoons. âIâm never drinking anything else ever again,â
âI didnât even know you liked him,â Alani teases with an eyebrow raised.
Maleah sneaks another peek at the table and catches her lower lip between her teeth. âI mean, I didnât really think so either but look at him. What a fucking dream,â
Harry was objectively handsome, this Alani could admit, but she personally didnât see the appeal and had a strong feeling that he was just like every other male celebrity. The fact that he hadnât even bothered to make eye contact with her only served as further proof of what she knew to be true.
âOkay, well, your dreamboat is waiting for his water. So excuse me,â Alani winks, making her way back to the table.
The singer spots Alani returning out of the corner of his eye and the sight of her causes a strange flutter in the pit of his stomach that makes him want to duck for cover. Instead, he pulls his phone from his back pocket and pretends to be occupied with something on the screen.
âOkay,â she greets, setting the drink tray down. âI have a Blue Hawaii, a Mango Mama, two Loco Cocos, and a water,â
The group graciously accepts their drinks with a chorus of âthank you," but the only one under Alaniâs scrutiny is Harry. He still doesnât meet her almond eyes, and though she figured he wouldnât, she canât help the inkling of disappointment that washes over her. After taking their meal orders, Alani heads back to the kitchen, checking on her other customers along the way. Harryâs eyes follow her and he observes the way customers light up at her presence, indulging her conversation with laughter. He watches as she lingers by the jukebox in one corner of the room, a detail he had missed in his initial scan, and waits anxiously to see what song she chooses. Baby Iâm-a Want You begins softly and Harry feels the corner of his lip curl ever so slightly. Good choice, he thinks.
********
âHeâs still here,â Pua muses, peering through the tiny window in the kitchen door. It had been nearly two hours and the five men were still seated around their table cracking jokes and doing a lot of talking with their hands.
Alani doesnât look up from her bowl of sliced kiwis, offering a hum in response. âAnd what do you want me to do about that?â
âNothing,â Pua shoots back. âDonât bother him,â
âWhat kind of girls do you think heâs into?â Maleah asks, attempting to peek through the window.
Alani shrugs, bored of the conversation and of thinking about Harry. âI donât know, but Iâll bet heâs a real sucker for the ones who stalk him while heâs eating,â
âHow does he make eating a salad look hot?â
âCan we talk about something else now?â Alani whines, poking holes in a lone kiwi with her fork.
Pua tosses a wet dish rag in her sisterâs direction and cheers when it lands in her face. âGo see if he wants more water, he looks thirsty.â
âI already refilled it,â Alani defends. âTwenty minutes ago. Iâve refilled it a hundred times, Iâm surprised he hasnât peed his pants.â
Iâm gonna piss myself. Harry thinks, his right leg bouncing to distract himself. He really wasnât all that thirsty, but he couldnât stop himself from finishing each glass of water that Alani placed in front of him. He really wasnât all that thirsty, but he couldnât stop himself from finishing each glass of water that Alani placed in front of him. Like clockwork, she would return to fill his glass almost as soon as the last drop had been drained, and so what began as a little experiment slowly turned into a bladder hazard. But if the trend was to be trusted, she would be back any minute and he wasnât going to miss it; afterall, there were only so many ways to casually linger in a small cafĂ© without making it weird. Unable to bear it any longer, he heads to the restroom and hopes that Alani doesnât clear their table before he has a chance to see her again.
Harry pads down the back hallway with his eyes cast down at the floor, which proves to be a mistake when he walks directly into another person.
âSorry!â they both apologize quickly, Harryâs palm taking purchase on the other personâs upper arm.
âI wasnât paying attention,â he offers, finally meeting the dark, mocha eyes already looking back at him.
Alani presses her lips into a tight smile. âMe either,â
Harryâs heartbeat picks up when he realizes itâs her, and he isnât aware of how close theyâre standing until he detects the faint scent of kiwi on her breath. He takes a step back and rakes a hand through his hair.
âSo I guess Iâll justââ
âYeah, sure.â
Green. Alani notes to herself. His eyes are green.
********
Shortly after Harry returned from the restroom, him and his friends settled their bill and headed out. Alani cleared their table and her eyes nearly fell out of her head when she saw the hefty tip left behind. The word mahalo was also left behind on the receipt, underlined twice, and she wondered if it was his handwriting.
Later that night, she settled into bed with her laptop and hesitantly typed his name into Google. As she expected, countless articles about the split of One Direction emerged, most of them speculating what was next for each member. To her surprise, however, Harryâs name seemed to be mentioned more than his fellow bandmates as various sources labeled him âthe next Justin Timberlakeâ and rising star of the group. Upon further investigation, she learned that the demand for information about the elusive Harry Styles was high, especially concerning any possible solo music. No news had yet been confirmed by Styles himself, nor anyone claiming to represent him, but she still wondered if his presence in Hawaii had anything to do with a possible solo project. Almost as soon as she thought it, Alani dismissed the theory in favor of the idea that he was most likely just taking a vacation. And from the buzz that she saw surrounding the news about One Direction, she couldnât blame him.
The more Alani read, the more she wanted to know, and something deep down told her that his was a story worth telling. Of course, the only problem was that she had hardly talked to him, and there were only so many things she could say about the fifteen glasses of water he downed. There was no way of knowing if she would ever see him again, either, or if he was merely stopping in Hilo on his way to another island or somewhere else entirely. Alani sighed, thinking back to her most recent rejection from Rolling Stone. She knew that there was no possible way she would ever see or talk to Harry ever again, and even if she did, why would he bare his entire soul to a stranger? Still, she let her mind wander through the possibility.
Dear Ms. Hale, the letter would read, we are very grateful to have received your submission to Rolling Stone magazine and are pleased to inform you that your piece on Harry Styles will be featured in next monthâs issue. Additionally, we would be honored to have you on staff, effective immediately.
It was far-fetched, Alani knew this, but she dozed off that night with endless ideas swimming in her head.
********
By the third day after his visit, the only trace of Harry is in Alaniâs search history. She would have completely forgotten about him if it werenât for her sisterâs constant reminiscing and multiple attempts to rename the house salad to the âHarry Special.â As a result, a part of Alaniâs thoughts periodically linger back to that day and the subsequent hours spent on Google that sheâd rationalized as research instead of stalking. Somehow the knowledge that sheâll never see him again only adds fuel to the questions still burning in her mind, but a customer clearing their throat while she sorts menus below the hostess podium interrupts her thoughts.
âWelcome in!â She calls, standing. âWhat can Iââ
She stops in her tracks, unable to believe her eyes. Harry blinks and waits for her to continue.
âWhat can I get started for you?â Alani tries again, hoping that he hadnât noticed her shock. Luckily for her, Harry had been too focused on choosing his next words to register her mistake.
âWhatâs in the Honu smoothie?â he asks, mentally kicking himself for asking such a stupid question when the menu just inches above her head clearly spells it out.
Alani hums, thinking back to the times she had made the smoothie herself. âKiwis, spinach, mango, avocado, and a hint of lime,â
âIâll take one of those,â Harry says, reaching for his wallet.
Alani punches in the order with trembling fingers and nods. âFor here or to go?â
âTo go,â
Disappointment fills her chest. Sure, she hadnât planned on seeing him ever again, but the fact that she did felt like a sign. If she wanted to take the chance, sheâd have to do it fast.
âAnything else?â she asks, weighing her options while he skims the menu.
âNo thanks.â
Alani makes the smoothie quickly, head spinning. She had spent most of the night after their initial meeting planning out exactly the type of questions she hoped to ask him and what kind of article she would write. She was used to writing about what she knewâartists and music sheâd admired for yearsâ but she figured that starting fresh with someone she hardly knew would be a good challenge. Not to mention that it seemed like just the thing Rolling Stone would jump for. Alani finally works up the courage as she finishes his smoothie, but when she returns to hand it to him and hopefully strike up a conversation, his ear is pressed to his cell phone. She holds out the drink and he graciously accepts, giving her a small nod as a âthank youâ and rushing out of the restaurant.
Two days later he returns and is seated at the counter, typing away on his phone. Alani feels both a rush of optimism and annoyance at the universe for dangling his presence so unexpectedly. She starts heading over to him, but Maleah cuts in.
âTrade me?â she proposes, eyes wide.
Alani blinks. âOh, I would but Iââ
âPlease,â her best friend pouts. âIâm leaving to see my grandparents in stupid California for two months. Who knows when Iâll get the chance to see him again?â
Alani sighs, but gives in, reluctantly exchanging Harry for the family of four seated by the window. A strange feeling settles into the pit of his stomach when he sees that she heads in the opposite direction after a hushed conversation with another waitress. He doesnât know why she traded him for a different customer, but he takes the hint.
A week goes by without another sighting of Harry and Alani has permanently taken on the role of greeting hostess in hopes of seeing him again. Her heartbeat temporarily speeds up when she sees a long haired customer approach the door, but her spirits quickly fall when the face doesnât match his.
Another week brings another disappointing realization that Harry might be gone for good. One rainy morning when the restaurant is quiet and only two customers huddle together in a booth near the back, Alani hunches over the hostess podium and doodles on a stray receiptâ a sunflower, a crescent moon, and two hearts. The bell above the door jingles but she doesnât look up, too absorbed in her scribbles.
âDo you serve coffee?â
The familiar accented voice stops Alaniâs pen dead in its tracks. She lifts her eyes first to confirm, and then straightens up when she sees that her ears havenât deceived her.
âYes,â she swallows.
âGreat. Iâll take it to go,â
She slightly deflates, but Harry thinks heâs reading too much into it.
âActually,â he corrects anyway, just in case he isnât. âI think Iâll stay for a while,â
Alani flashes a warm smile and nods in the direction of the counter. âRight this way,â
Harry sheds his windbreaker onto the back of the seat, revealing a black and white Rolling Stones t-shirt that makes Alaniâs blood pressure rise. A sign, she thinks.
âWhat do you want in your coffee?â she questions carefully.
âNothing,â he responds, shaking out his damp hair gently. âOr actually, uh, butter...if you have some,â
Alani blinks, not sure if sheâd heard correctly or if there had been some transatlantic miscommunication.
âButter?â
âYeah,â
âLike theââ
âSpread, yeah,â Harry confirms. âItâs weird, I know,â
She lets out a light-hearted laugh and nods. âItâs a...unique request,â
âI thought the same thing at first,â Harry confides. âItâs not bad, actually. But maybe Iâve just been in L.A. for too long.â
âIâll take your word for it.â
She offers a polite smile and heads to the kitchen where the cook and two other waiters talk amongst each other. Alani is grateful that the restaurant is slow this morning because she knows that it means minimal interruptions to her time with Harry. To ensure this, though, she asks one of the other waiters to cover the podium and returns to Harry with his coffee.
âOne butter coffee, free of judgement,â the waitress announces, setting it down.
Harry grins softly, stirring the drink with the spoon Alani provided. âYou can judge, itâs alright,â
âI just wanna know why,â
The coffee had been part of a fad diet while on tour in order to boost Harryâs energy on stage and stay trim for the hundreds of photo-ops he would be a part of. He doesnât know how to communicate all of this to Alani, however, not sure how much she knows about that part of him, so he shrugs and tells a simplified version of the truth.
âI read about this trend a while back, it's called bulletproof coffee. Supposed to get your energy up and I needed it for my job,â
âWhich isâŠâ Alani trails off, downplaying the knowledge that she had acquired from Google.
âI make music,â is all Harry says and he takes a sip of the drink to avoid elaborating.
âAnything I would have heard?â
He swallows hard and listens to the faint rumbling of thunder outside before replying. âPossibly,â
âTry me,â Alani challenges.
He narrows his eyes and takes another sip of coffee. âWhy donât you tell me something about yourself first?â
âWhat do you wanna know?â
Everything, Harry responds internally, though he reigns it in. âHow you got into waitressing,â
Alani sighs, resting her elbows on the counter across from him. âThereâs not much to tell, itâs a family business. What I really wanna do is write,â
âMusic?â
âArticles. Iâm studying Journalism at UH,â
Harry hums in response, filing the detail away in the back of his mind. âSounds interesting. You ever publish anything?â
âNot yet,â Alani shakes her head gently, toying with the sleeves of her green University of Hawaii crewneck. âHopefully soon, though,â
Harry racks his brain for something else to say, but before he can, Alani speaks up again.
âIs it my turn to ask something now?â
He offers a curt nod and stirs his coffee.
âWhat kind of music do you write?â
Harry chooses to be vague again. âDifferent stuff. Pop, usually. Been messing with some classic rock, though,â
âExplains the shirt,â
He peers down at the design on his tee and agrees. âYeah, I guess so,â
âDo you like it?â Alani asks, her eyes begging to make contact with his again. âWriting music, I mean,â
âYeah,â Harry confirms, tapping his spoon against the rim of the mug. âI really do,â
Alaniâs heart pounds. This is her chance, a moment to finally secure her breakthrough piece. She doesnât know how to approach it, so she opts to dive right in without looking back. The worst he can say is no.
âCan I ask you something else?â
âThatâs cheating,â Harry teases lightly. âIt's my turn,â
She pouts playfully, but obliges. âFire away,â
Harry doesnât know which question to ask first, but when he glances down at the crescent moon inked on her wrist, he decides to start there.
âWhatâs with the moon tattoo?â
Alani isnât sure what she expected him to ask and wonders what purpose such a detail could possibly serve him, but she answers anyway.
âOh, well,â she begins, tracing her index finger over the outline. âItâs kinda the meaning of my full name. Itâs Mahealani, Hawaiian for âheavenly moon,'â
Fitting, Harry comments to himself. Every detail he learns about her makes him want to learn that much more, from her favorite foods to the last thing she thinks about before falling asleep. Studying her expectant eyes, he suddenly remembers that itâs his turn to respond.
âThatâs cool,â is all he says.
Alani doesnât know what to make of the faraway look in his eye, but she decides to pose her most burning question while he appears to be in good spirits.
âI know this is gonna sound totally out of the blue,â she starts, working past the lump in her throat. âBut when you mentioned how you write music, I was just reminded of this assignment Iâm working on in my class,â
Harry waits for her to continue, nursing his now lukewarm coffee.
âIâm supposed to write a piece about someone who I donât know that well,â she continues. âYou know, to practice our interviewing skills. And, well, I was just kind of wondering if you might be interested in helping me outâbeing the subject, I mean,â
Alani had every intention of telling Harry the truth, about how she really planned to submit the article to Rolling Stone in hopes of securing an internship before her college graduation next Spring. But as she started speaking, she quickly realized how it would come off: a complete stranger asking for personal information to submit to a well-known publication. She knew that there was a chance he would shut down and never return, so she lowered the stakes and hoped that this route would be less risky. Was it ethical? Alani hadnât decided yet, but she would work out the details later. After six failed articles and two years of rejection, she saw a ray of hope and wasnât going to let it slip away.
Harry ponders her offer for a moment, which confirms that she had recognized him. Normally he would be off-put by such a request, and to a certain extent he is, but there is something sincere in her voice that he trusts deep down. Before he agrees, however, he decides to fish around a bit to test her reaction.
âYou know who I am,â he says gently. âDonât you?â
Alaniâs heart drops into the pit of her stomach, not sure what to say next. She hopes with every fiber of her being that she hasnât upset him, or worse, ruined her chances, so she decides to offer some truth to throw him off her scent.
âMy sister recognized you,â she explains. âThat day you came in with your friends. I thought they were your bandmates at first,â
This lets Harry know that she isnât a total stalker, which is comforting, but he wouldnât have been minded if she were a fan simply engaging in conversation.
âOh,â he laughs weakly.
âI totally understand if you say no,â Alani offers quickly, trying to smooth things over. âI just thought it was worth a shot. And that it might be more interesting than interviewing our produce guy,â
Harry decides to give her one last scan for any sign of insincerity. Heâd always felt that his gut instinct was strong and it hadnât led him astray thus far.
âAn interview?â he clarifies.
âJust one,â Alani promises. âAn hour, tops. And you can proofread all of it once Iâve finished, too.â
Harry waits a beat, already knowing his reply, but he wants to see how she will react to his silence. She doesnât budge, almond eyes set and determined.
âOkay.â

đ»đžđ· đđźđȘđŒđ”đźđ đȘđŒ đđžđŸđ» đ«đžđđŻđ»đČđźđ·đ
hello everyone :)) I am so sorry I have not been active. I think my chemistry teacher knows I write and doesn't like it so she assigns like 3 hours of homework a night. I also have been casted in my schools production of The Secret Garden so that has kept me busy. I am trying to stay afloat at school and have inspiration to write but that is a lot harder than I expected. if you have sent in any requests I am going to work on those as soon as I can but I haven't had the most creativity :') I hope you aren't upset and enjoy this as compensation for my lack of content.
SUMMARY-> ron weasley as your boyfriend :)
KEY đ -> Y/H- your house at hogwarts
WARNINGS-> curse words, snape slander đ, not edited, but otherwise pretty sweet domesticity
*+.-°><°-.+*
how does it feel to live my dream?
this man is a grade A simp and I will die on that fucking hill
would he ever admit it?
hell no
does everyone know?
yes
how you two met
let me set the scene đ
you were just going to potions class, you hated Snape and weren't afraid to show it to the snake of a professor [period đŒđ
]
ron and harry were only sat a few chairs away from you so they normally laughed at the interactions you shared with the potions teacher
and so when Snape had some smart stuff to say to you,,,,,well lemme just;
"L/N I suggest you keep that smart tongue to yourself unless you want to end up in detention" Snape quipped with a slap of his wand again your desk
"I do apologize professor" you said with sarcasm dripping off your tongue. you sighed and brought a hand to your forehead, "I do hope you forgive me Professor Snake- oops! I mean Snape" you snickered as the other students giggled, including the red headed weasley boy
"Detention and 50 house points deducted from Y/H" Snape shouted with a scowl only for your giggles to grow louder. From that moment on, Ron Weasley had a crush on you
my man here was struggling to even talk to you
you exuded this aura that was honestly very intimidating to him
shy boy indeed
how you two got together
so Ron's crush on you obvious to anyone who had eyes
you just didn't see it
I mean you of course had seen the boy around school before, everyone knew of him
you may or may not have liked him as well
but when people told you he felt the same you deadass looked at them like "đ€š"
this situation was much like the case with ron
for some dumbass reason you just didn't see why he would like you
everyone knew you liked him
except him
hermione and harry were kinda tired of hearing him be so lovesick
they were happy for him, just annoyed with how,,,,sappy he was
with the help of the twins, hermione and harry brought both you and Ron to a small party in the griyffindoor common room
basically they threw you two in a closet at the party
"JUST CONFESS YOUR UNDYING LOVE FOR EACHOTHER ALREADY!" yelled George from the other side of the door. you heard some light crying
"Oh Georgie our little brother is all grown up!" Freddie sniffled as the duo walked away
you and Ron were really just standing in the closet like "đ§ââïžđ§"
yeah it was awkward
after a while you spoke up,
"so uh do you like me back?" you said with a faint warmth spreading across your face. he frantically tried to explain himself,
"I NEVER WANTED YOU TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE BUT I-I WAIT" his eyes widened as his brain registered what you had said, "Like you back? of course I do! Are you an idiot or something?"
you only scoffed, "Well sorry I'm not the most obvious about it" Ron only looked down and apologized for his outburst,
"I didn't mean to say your stupid, I just thought it was obvious, I suppose I wasn't as obvious as I thought" he stated simply, as if it was a fact that you would find in any textbook
you shrugged "Im a little oblivious sometimes I suppose," turning your full attention to his face you simply said "Well I guess that's good huh? We have something in common!" you laughed slightly. He held your hand hesitantly,
"Yeah I guess it is" he replied with a smile.
"AWWWW YAY!" the two of you heard the twins says more people began to cheer from outside the door.
semi anticlimactic but it was sweet
relationship headcannons
So, to start, love languages <3
Ron's love language for you is gift giving and physical touch
this boy,,,,he has to be holding onto you in someway at all times you are together
it kinda grounds him and brings him a lot of comfort
(unless of course if you are uncomfortable with that! he is very respectful of your boundaries)
so in turn he also loves giving you gifts
I think he like does either wood carving or something like that
so expect handmade gifts!
he paints rocks for you đ„Č
if you display them in your dorm?
man might cry
he just loves seeing you love the things he gives you đ„ș
His preferred love language from a partner is either physical touch, which I have discussed previously
but his other one?
acts of service
he doesn't necessarily expect gifts or anything like that
he just loves it when you do little things
like for example you left him a note
it was a day of a match and Ron was honestly nervous about it
it was nothing too fancy
simply,
have a good day today! you are gonna do amazing hun, I'll be in the stands cheering you on! love you :)
-Y/N <3
he keeps that note now in a box under his bed
that box holds every note or doodle you have ever given him
if you want to help him study he is gonna be so thankful
he loves dates taht are spontaneous
you two have become Snape's worst nightmare since you started dating
double trouble >:)
SO MANY SNACK DATES
LIKE YOU GUYS JUST LISTEN TO MUSIC OR WATCH MOVIES AND EAT SNACKS WHILE CUDDLING
it's heavenly đ
Speaking of cuddling!
he loves lying on your chest
it's kinda just his safe space

credits to virid on tumblr!
he is a caring lover, his biggest concern is is making you happy in the relationship
he wants to be the person that helps you grow, not by force, he wants to support you through whatever you are going through
you help him be more confident in himself, believe in the good in the world
honestly you changed his life
and he couldn't say thank you enough for being in his life
I don't think he can sing so he hums instead. this happens a lot while lying on your chest so yeah
songs that I think fit your relationship
This December- Ricky Montgomery
How Can I be Sure- Durand Jones and the Incantations
Sinatra- Forrest Nolan
Like or Like Like- Miniature Tigers
-----------
he just loves you so much please my heart can't handle this right now đ

More Sorting Hat Chats
All right, I have had Daughter stuck in my head all day, and I want to talk about Abigail Hobbs.
(I basically always want to talk about Abigail Hobbs, she is my favorite television character and would make a good running for my singular favorite character ever if I could ever pick one.  If you are considering if this is an invitation, please take it as one. But, I digress.)
As I can tell, thereâs been discussion of Will and Hannibalâs sortings, and nobody else in the show. Iâd love to dig in and do the whole rest of the show, but I donât feel like Iâve rewatched recently enough to do everybody. I can always talk about Abigail, though!
As I continue to be exceedingly wordy as I do these things (whoops. I tried...), under a cut it goes again.
Letâs start on the Primary. We know pretty clearly that a lot of what Abigail has done has been focused on survival above all. We know for a fact that her darkest actions were: we see her kill Boyle in self-defense, and when sheâs discussing helping her father, she says outright, âI knew it was them or me.â That... doesnât actually help narrow it down, of course, because none of the houses have a claim on survival, and you could come at that feeling from any start point. But what it points to for me is that whatever her Primary is, itâs Burnt, and probably pretty badly. She hasnât had the ability to come at decisions from a standpoint of whatâs right, or whatâs good for anyone else, or hell, even whatâs good for her -- itâs all about what will get me through this alive.
When she does talk about what sheâs done, it all feels very instinctive: âIâm a monster.â âSome places are stained now. Some people too. I know I am.â Even this: âI thought there was something wrong with me because I didnât feel ugly when I killed Nick Boyle. I felt good. Thatâs why it was so easy to lie about it.â There doesnât seem to be any weighing or rationalizing behind it, and every time she does try to come off as doing things from a rational place, it feels extremely put on -- that first scene after she wakes up, when she talks to Alana, for example, and Alana immediately sees through her.
So, not a Bird. She could be a Lion, instinctively knowing that what sheâs done for her own safety is wrong and trying to fight that feelings -- it would fit with her judgements of herself, and with how she talks to Will about killing, trying to find someone else to rationalize it for her. But: Iâm going to argue thatâs sheâs an extremely Burned Badger Primary.
First: why Badger, not Snake, when sheâs shut herself down until sheâs the only person sheâs looking out for and thatâs basically the original definition of a Petrified Snake? Because Abigail isnât shutting herself off from connections in general. As soon as Hannibal reaches out, Abigail doesnât hesitate, doesnât try to back away from that connection; she leans into it, tells him about her nightmares and trusts him when he asks her. She pushes Will away -- until sheâs reassured that heâll accept enough of what sheâs done that she doesnât have to, and then sheâs so quick to accept him and talk to him about it that she almost reveals her other secret in the very next conversation we see them have. She even opens up a little to Freddie, despite the fact that she has to know thatâs a bad idea.
That conversation is also one of the reasons Iâm going to call Badger, not Lion -- specifically, her view on Nick Boyle sounds so hard like either depersonalizing him to make herself feel better, or trying and failing to depersonalize him to make herself feel better. âI blame Nick Boyle for Nick Boyleâs death. He killed Marissa, he got what was coming to him.â We the audience already know this isnât true to some extent -- weâve seen Boyle crop up in Abigailâs dream, among the girls she clearly still feels guilty about, but it doesnât feel like something sheâs saying entirely for Freddieâs benefit either. Itâs so emphatic, and itâs not a lie that will necessarily make her look better -- it makes so much more sense if itâs what she wants to believe.
And then Freddie blows it up, reframes it all and makes the guilt flood back in. And it could be either Lion or Badger -- heâs no longer such a bad guy, so having killed him is no longer something she can even try to frame as okay. But, even if Boyle wasnât a killer, it was still self-defense. Reframing who he was doesnât necessarily reframe what happened, and the fact that it still changes her feelings on it so thoroughly is part of what makes me go to Badger instead.
She doesnât react to Hannibal the way I imagine a Lion with all that guilt would, either. Even after she knows for certain that heâs a killer, in the 3x09 flashbacks -- even when sheâs outright saying that sheâs not sure itâs smart to trust or accept him, sheâs not really that guarded with him. If sheâs a Lion, her talk with Freddie about Boyle and her guilt for the part she played under duress in her fatherâs killings speaks to some pretty intense gut feelings about killing and people who have done it. I see absolutely none of that in how she talks to Hannibal immediately after he confesses to killing more people than her father.
(There is some debate about how accurate the 3x09 flashbacks are, I believe, whether theyâre closer to Willâs hallucinations of Abigail than actual memories; I do think some of the details may be embellished or changed by Hannibalâs memories, but Iâm going to assume theyâre more accurate than not to make this easier on myself.)
Thereâs also what she says in the therapy flashback, and yes, itâs clearly led and influence by Hannibal, but it still appears to be her words and her emotions:
He was as good to me as he knew how to be. Hunting with him was the best time I ever had.
And thereâs the simple fact that this is the tact Hannibal takes with her, over and over, which I think can be read into. Hannibal is perceptive, very good at reading and manipulating people, and over and over again, when he wants a way to connect to or manipulate Abigail, he puts himself in a position where she can mentally link him with her father and her family. The tea and the dinner in 1x04, the dinner with Freddie and comforting Abigail in the kitchen in 1x09, âYou accepted your father. Would it be so difficult to accept me?â -- itâs the tact he takes with Will too, to encourage his desire to bond with Abigail, pushing him to think of the three of them as family. It makes sense if itâs because he can feel both of them looking for that connection, and knows itâll serve his desires and plans best if they find it with him and each other.
(I donât want to go into this too long because Iâve already talked a lot, but thereâs also something so fascinating about the idea of Abigail, whose trauma is about fathers and family and girls like her, whose downfall is in who she gives her trust to, being a Badger. And thatâs not, yâknow, a reason to sort her that way -- but it does add a really interesting layer to her if she is one.)
Okay. Letâs see if I can do the Secondary in under a thousand words this time.
Abigail is trying so hard to perform Snake, or maybe a really fast Bird. Sheâs trying to manipulate, to show everything what they need to see to want to protect or help her, to have a plan, to be one step ahead of everybody else.
And sheâs really, really bad at it. Because Abigail has a loud, screaming Lion Secondary that hates every second of what sheâs doing. All the decisions that give her any sense of control, all the decisions that seem to come from what she wants to do instead of what she thinks is best -- going back home to confront what happened, unburying Boyle, going back with Will again in 1x12, even, to some extent, agreeing to work with Freddie -- are impulsive, and involve facing the issues instead of trying to bury them. And the biggest one of all, the thing she does to feel like she has control, unburying Boyle -- itâs the worst possible thing she could do, to try and keep herself safe, but not having to wait for it to happen, to be able to confront it head-on, is the part that matters to her.
Sheâs just really bad at lying in general, too. Every time sheâs around somebody she likes or who knows the smallest part of her secret, she says something that hints about what else is going on. Again, the first time we see her talk to Will alone after sheâs stopped trying to push him away, she almost gives it all away: âI wish I had killed him. For killing my mom. For killing all those girls, for making me...â Then thereâs what she says to Jack while standing over Nick Boyleâs body, her speech about how she survived -- sheâs trying to dismiss suspicion, but she canât help some honesty leaking out even though it does nothing to help her sound innocent. Alana pegs her as trying to manipulate people and trying to be too practical in their very first conversation, that one that seems so far removed from what sheâs like in private, with people she does trust to any extent.
Itâs also notable that even with all her manipulation and masks being so see-through to everyone around her, she still ends up with some of that reaction sheâs looking for anyway, and not just in Willâs crusade to protect her -- Alana says she canât help but care about her as well. (You could easily argue Freddie seems to have some extent of genuine feeling towards her as well, sympathy if nothing else, though thatâs more debatable. Hannibal is entirely debatable as to whether he has genuine feelings for her or not, but if you view their relationship that way, thereâs that as well.) Lion Secondaryâs accidental inspiration maybe, twisted and warped by that manipulative performance and the situation altogether?
In conclusion: Badly Burnt Badger Primary / Lion Secondary (probably at least somewhat burnt, or at least repressed) with inexpert Snake and Bird Performances layered on top.

Forever and a day
Hey guys Hope youâll enjoy and as usual, likes, reblogs and feedbacks are greatly appreciated!
Masterlist
(gif not mine)
The night was like the ones you only see in the middle of summer even though it was Christmas. The deep blue sky, almost dark and dotted with thousands of bright stars, was only lightened by the moon, a fantastic crescent illuminating the garden of the Burrow along with Fred and me. The only thing blurring periodically our sight was the cloud forming in front of our mouths when we breathed, except that, this was a magical vision.Â
The Burrow, as each and every Christmas, was animated and full of joy and laughter. It was awesome, really, but Fred and I had needed a bit of time alone as we hadnât had a lot of occasions since his departure from Hogwarts, a few months ago. We had escaped the loud cheers, preferring the peaceful silence of the night, accepting the biting cold as it gave us an excuse for cuddling, losing ourselves in the stars.Â
A particularly violent shiver shook me, and Fred tightened his grip around my waist.Â
âWe can go back inside, if you want.â he said while rubbing my sides with energy.Â
âNo, I want to stay.â
I looked up again to the stars and noticed a few seconds later that Fredâs gaze hadnât followed mine.Â
âWhat? Do I have something on my nose?âÂ
âExcept that adorable red colour, no, you have nothing.âÂ
âYeah, thatâs because I love Rudolf the rednosed reindeer.â I declared before chuckling when Fred frowned.Â
âIs that another muggleborn reference?â he asked. âDad never told me about this one.â
âI guess you know him as Patrick the red tailed niffler.âÂ
In front of Fredâs incomprehension and once my laughters had eventually calmed down, I explained who Rudolf the rednosed reindeer was.Â
âAnd we wonder why muggles donât believe in magic,â he mumbled. âIf they present it like something that childishâŠâ
I didnât want to debate on the muggleâs capacity of imagining what magic could be - I knew it could turn into a heated argument - and decided to change the subject.Â
âIf nothing was hanging from my nose, then why were you eyeing me so intensely?â
Fredâs cheeks and ears, who were already red because of the freezing air, darkened and I smirked when he scratched the back of his neck, a recurrent gesture that never failed to show when he was nervous.
âThatâs because, well, the moonlight⊠It makes you look, err- it makes you look cool, I mean- Stop laughing, I just wanted to compliment you!â
Indeed, I was laughing softly, melting on the inside because he was so cute when he was nervous⊠And Fred was almost never nervous. He was always so self confident, such an adorable and cocky boy, yet when he wanted to express his deepest feelings, he became a stuttering mess. And I loved this side of him, way more than the side that always wanted to dye my hair in green, that was for sure.Â
âAnd you did well complimenting me, Freddie. The moonlight suits you too pretty well, love.â
And it truly was, from the freckles on his nose that contrasted with his pale skin to the sparkle in his eyes and including his hair that seemed softer than ever, everything of him which was usually awesome appeared just perfect under the moonlight. No kidding, my boyfriend was the best of all.Â
Fred chuckled, mumbling something that sounded like âYour compliment was still better than mineâ and pulled me closer to him. We were sitting on a bench, far enough from the house to be sure nothing - or no one, and especially not George or Ginny - would disturb us. We were still stargazing, both lost in thoughts deeper than the other could imagine, and not necessarily really happy. When a shooting star crossed the sky, thatâs all naturally that my dearest wish crossed my mind, and fear flooded suddenly in my body.Â
I hope weâre all gonna survive this war.Â
I immediately felt the urge to be comforted by Fred, like every time I thought of the war inexorably approaching, and like every time, he tightened me a bit more and laid soft kisses on my hair.Â
âIt will be okay love. Weâll be okay.â
âHow can you be so sure? Fred, it can happen so fastâŠâ
âY/N, listen to me.â His tone was firm but it was only to make me calm down, I knew it. âAs long as Iâll be there, nothing will happen to you, I promise. And as long as youâll be there, nothing will happen to me because I just cannot bear the thought of you being alone. Do you understand? Iâll be yours for forever, and youâll be mine for forever. If you keep that in mind, then weâll stay together.â
Our foreheads were now pressed against each other, and my hands were cupping his cheeks. Fredâs eyes were burning, a flame I had only seen a few times making them shine brighter than the sun. It was pure love. At the moment, I was so scared, so terrified and yet feeling so stupid for doubting of us that I reacted the only way I knew.Â
âForever? It isnât long enough for me, love.â
âThen letâs say for forever and a day.â
âIt doesnât make that much of a difference, does it?â
âA lot can happen in a day.â he whispered before leaning in and pressing his lips against mine.Â
And as the fire of our love was slowly consuming us, as the cold air seemed to disappear to be replaced by a warm atmosphere, I was so absorbed in the moment, so focused on his lips and his hands, that it never crossed my mind that Fred had expressed his deepest feelings without stuttering once.Â
°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
âMolly, you better tell these delinquents to stop their traffic!â
âThatâs not traffic, dear aunt Muriel, thatâs business.â said Fred with a smirk before tying an imaginary tie.Â
Muriel grumbled and threw an imperious glance at Molly, who didnât do anything but shrugging.Â
âThey don't listen to me, Muriel. Iâm sorry.â
This dear old aunt Muriel had accepted to hide her family, the Weasleys being in danger now that everyone knew Ron was with Harry, and Fred had made a scene as he wanted me to hide with them. Muriel had firstly refused, pretending she wouldnât have the energy to bear one more person.Â
âTrust me, youâll never survive with me if she doesnât come with us.â He had muttered, after what Molly had ordered him to shut up for once and had pleaded my cause.
Muriel hadnât had any other choice than accepting, and I suspected her to know Fred would have found a way to make me come here anyway. As a revenge, she had decided to be more insufferable than usual, which was an exploit according to George.Â
âShut up, it will begin!â suddenly exclaimed Bill, who was here with Fleur for one of the visits that were becoming more and more frequent as the weeks passed.Â
Everyone gathered around the radio, Muriel complaining that she was busy writing a very important letter - Ginny confessed to me she had read a few sentences, and Muriel was in fact writing to one of the old blabbermouths she had for friends. After several hissing begging her to shut up, we all waited for Lee to begin his emission. We waited, but⊠Nothing.
âI donât understandâŠâ muttered Bill. âI thought-â
âDo you think it means something happened to him?â I asked, petrified at the thought that one of my best friends could be hurt because he had always kept bringing us hope.Â
âNo, heâs too smart to be caught.â assured George.Â
But I caught the worried glance he exchanged with Fred. The silence seemed to last forever, and Bill eventually stopped trying.
âMaybe he just canât right now,â he said. âIâll keep trying to catch the signal, weâll see.â
âThat wonât be necessary.â
Ginnyâs voice was blank, and I turned to see that her face was pale. However, the flame of her determination was burning in her eyes.Â
âHarry is at Hogwarts, and apparently the fight is for soon.â
Fuck. That was the first thing that came to my mind. As my brain was trying to process what Ginny had said and what it implied, Molly pressed her on with interrogations.Â
âHow do you know that? Ginny, is Ron with him? Is he safe? Ginny!â
Without a word, she handed her mother the false galleon I recognized easily.Â
âMum, weâve got to go to Hogwarts.â said George.Â
âHow?â asked Molly with a quiet voice.
âThe Hogâs Head. Thereâs a tunnel leading to the room of requirements.â replied Ginny.Â
Molly sighed and murmured she had to warn the order. Fred and George got up in the same movement, and I immediately did the same.Â
âY/N, you stay here.â
For a second, I thought it was a joke. A particularly bad one, but a joke. However, I had never seen Fred being so serious. His jaw was clenched and he was frowning, and at the moment his eyes were darker than they had ever been.Â
âI- what?â I asked in disbelief.Â
Fred glanced at George before sighing. He grabbed my hand and half dragged me to the room we shared with his twin. He sighed once more and quickly passed a hand in his hair.Â
âY/N, I want you to stay here with aunt Muriel.â
âAre you crazy? I wonât stay on the sidelines, Fred. Donât count on it.â
âLove, please, I just-â
âNo!â I yelled. Fred winced. âThereâs no way youâre going to fight without me!â
âLove, I just want you to be safe.â He grabbed my hand and lightly kissed my knuckles. âHow long will be our forever if something happens to you?â
âWhy do you keep thinking Iâm the only one who could get hurt? Fred, I know how- how reckless you can be and⊠And I need to be with you, Fred, I need to be sure you wonât do anything stupid, you understand?â
âAnd if something happens to me? Y/N, if I die-â
âDonât say that!â I squealed.
âIf I die, who will keep you safe?â
Maybe Fred hadnât heard me, all absorbed in his thoughts as he was, or maybe he felt the need to get this out of him. I would understand, I was feeling the exact same thing, I wanted to say out loud that maybe I would die too. This way, it would be real, totally real, and I could focus on something else. The way of keeping us alive, for example. But if something had to happen to Fred, if despite all my efforts, his fate was to leave me, then I knew what I would have to do. It was obvious.
âIf you die,â I murmured, âthen Iâll make sure our forever is still a thing.â
âDonât say that. Y/N, please, donât say such a thing. I- I forbid you to⊠Y/N, if I die- if I donât make it out alive, promise me- promise me youâll live. No matter what love, I need to know youâll carry on.â
âOnly if you promise the same.â
And that promise was sealed with the saddest kiss we had ever shared, our tears giving it a salty taste, our hands grabbing the otherâs clothes in the same way you grip on the last thing that makes you alive. And it was true; at the moment, Fred was the only thing that helped me stay sane, and I had the firm conviction that our survival depended on each other.Â
From the moment I had stepped in the room of requirements until the moment everything had gone black around me, from the moment Fred had made me swear to stay next to him until the moment I had lost him between two green flashes of light, from the moment I had stumbled upon Percy to the moment I had run into Fredâs arms, my own body had been controlled by the most primitive survival instinct. A rage I didnât suspect had taken over me, making me kill enemy after enemy, without ever considering the fact that they were human. One the wrong side, maybe, despicable, for sure, but still human, with maybe children that were waiting for them at home. Not one second did I think of anything else than being enveloped in Fredâs arms after the end of the war, enjoying our victory hopefully without any loss and living our life like we deserved. But I had to get through this, I had promised him I would, and he had promised me too.Â
I was unable to open my eyes, my body being entirely sore and my head seeming on the verge of the explosion. No matter how hard I tried, I couldnât move to get rid of this small pebble that was planting itself in my shoulder blade. The blood was rushing behind my ears, and the sound was not without recalling the sound of a river. It was somehow soothing.Â
And slowly, or as it seemed for me as I didnât have any way to measure time, the adrenaline in my veins disappeared, letting my heart beat less quickly and I could eventually hear what surrounded me. At first, it only sounded like a buzzing, and some noises gradually distinguished themselves. Steps near my head. Loud voices. Laughters. Cries. And after the hearing, it was my sight that came back to normal.Â
The light surrounding me was forming a bright halo behind my closed eyelids. When my eyes were finally used to such a brightness, they flickered open. The very first thing I saw was a bunch of vaults above me, some of them half destructed and the sky being visible in some places. The second thing I saw was a glimpse of red hair. A smile immediately stretched my lips before disappearing. It was George, and something was wrong.
âGeorge?â I asked quietly, my throat being so sore that this only world almost made me throw up.Â
When George looked at me with puffy red eyes, my stomach twisted into a painful knot. It took a lot of energy for me to do something as simple as looking around me, but nowhere did I see the smile I needed. I wanted to ask him where Fred was, if everyone was okay, but I only managed to moan weakly. Much to my horror, tears flooded from Georgeâs eyes and he pulled me against him without an ounce of delicacy. He just tightened me against his chest, clutching desperately on the back of my shirt, loud sobs shaking his shoulders. Without even knowing what had happened - or knowing it but refusing to believe it - I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him as tight as I could, feeling the tears rolling on my cheeks despite myself.Â
George cried for a long time, and so did I without even being fixed on why we were such a wreck at the moment. When finally he stopped crying, he pushed me back just enough to look at me in the eyes without letting go of my shoulders. And when I looked into these eyes I knew so well and not only because they looked like Fredâs, when I saw the most heart wrenching desperation I could ever see, I slowly understood. And slowly, I felt the same desperation invading my eyes, and an excruciating pain taking over my body, because he had promised. He had promised nothing would happen to him.Â
George grabbed my hand and without a word, he helped me get up. My legs were too weak to support my own weight, let alone the weight of my pain, and I clung onto him like the lifeline that prevented me from drowning in my sorrow. We walked slowly, one step after the other, and it felt like we were struggling against a powerful courant. When they saw us, Georgeâs siblings - I couldnât recognize who - stepped backward, none of them saying anything. Another step, and another. Arthur helped Molly get up, and she obliged in a painful sob.Â
When she got up, I saw Fredâs body.
His clothes were torn and dirty. Blood covered the fabric and his skin. His eyes were closed, and he was still smiling. But he was dead.Â
My knees gave up on me and I fell on the ground. I grabbed his hand desperately, his skin was as cold as ice and I didnât recognize its touch, which used to bring me so much comfort because it was always so warm. And the tears were continuously rolling, blinding me whereas I wanted to memorize each detail of his face. Then the sobs arrived, all more painful than the precedent but still pleasant compared to the pain in my heart. George was crying next to me, an arm still around my shoulders, and we stayed like this for a long time.Â
The night was falling on the castle, yet what remained from the Great Hall was still full of broken souls like George and I. People who werenât ready to leave the last place they had seen their loved ones. Georgeâs family had come back to the Burrow, preferring to mourn Fred in the intimacy of their house, but we werenât ready yet. We were still sitting on the ground, in front of an empty place where Fredâs body had been laying before being carried away.Â
We were staring blankly in front of us, Georgeâs arm around my shoulder and my head resting on his, probably doing the same thing, namely recalling Fred.Â
âI didnât say I loved himâŠâ My throat was sore after all the sobs that had shaken my body, yet I needed to say it, because the guilt and the regrets were suffocating me.Â
âHe knew it.â replied George, his voice as weak as mine and oh so broken.Â
And I couldnât know it, but George was remembering the last time Fred had rambled about me in front of him. âYou have no idea on how much I love her, Georgie.â he had said with a goofy smile. âI would do anything for her⊠Sheâs the love of my life, I know it. You know what? When all of this is over, Iâll marry her.âÂ
âHe knew it and he loved you too, Y/N.â
âAnd he loved you too. He was so proud of you, George.â
And we burst into tears, hugging each other with the same strength we wanted to hug Fred with, with the desperation we shared of having lost one of the most important persons in our lives.Â
We cried because Fred was dead and at the moment, it felt like we would always cry because this loss was too much for us to bear.Â
âIâll be yours for forever, and youâll be mine for forever. If you keep that in mind, then weâll stay together.â
âForever? It isnât long enough for me, love.â
âThen letâs say for forever and a day.â
âIt doesnât make that much of a difference, does it?â
I was so stupid, because now, I would give anything for just one more day with you.
One day to say I love you.Â
One day to live the forever we deserved.Â

I just finished answering one of these and now I wanna know yours. Top 10 straight OTPs?
1.) Ben and Leslie - Parks and Recreation

If this was my OTPs list, theyâd be second after Gallavich, but since this is straight couples, they have to be my number one. Amy Poehler and Adam Scott had great chemistry. Adam Scott played a lot of creepy/bad guys before this. So, when he showed up in Pawnee, I didnât know what to make of him when he came in at the end of season 2. Pretty quickly I realized I was not only going to love the character of Ben Wyatt but we finally found Leslie Knopeâs perfect match! Iâll never forget the moment I knew I was going to ship them. It was at the Freddy Spaghetti concert when Ben helped Leslie after he was against doing the concert in the first place. As soon as I saw Ben give Leslie that look as she walked away, I knew I was all in with this ship. Thatâs all it took! Leslie finally met someone who got her, admired her, was in awe of her, and was so supportive of her and her ambitions. They were both willing to put their jobs at risk by making their relationship known. And if you know Leslie Knope, her job is her life. Leslieâs love for Benâs butt is also something I loved. Their love for each other is so beautiful and one of my favorite things about this amazing show.
2.) Ava and Boyd - Justified

Joelle Carter and Walton Goggins did amazing work together onscreen. Ava and Boyd Crowder did not have the most conventional start to their romantic relationship, seeing as Ava was married to Boydâs brother. For me, that is a deal-breaker! I know theyâre not blood relatives but itâs still weird to me when in-laws get together. In the pilot, we learn Ava has just killed her husband in self-defense and Boyd was supposed to be killed off in that episode. The powers that be, loved both Joelle and Walton so much they brought them back for more and they were series regulars for the rest of the series run. To keep Ava part of the storyline, they had Boyd staying at Avaâs house in season 2. It all evolved from there. I had no intention of shipping these two during season 1, but by season 2, I was all about Ava and Boyd getting together. They were the true definition of a power couple. They even had matching bullet scares on their chest! They stood side by side as a strong force against anyone who tried to overpower them or intimidate them in their growing criminal enterprise. Boyd really saw Ava, treated her with respect, and saw her as his equal. They had a long history, even went to the same high school together. I always love a couple who has known each other since they were kids. I never thought I would root for current or former in-laws, but it was hard not to fall in love with them.
3.) Jess and Nick - New Girl
I knew I was going to ship them from the very first episode. They are everything I love in a good ship, complete opposites who bring out the best in each other, who are also friends. Over the years, any time Jess would describe her perfect man, she was always describing Nick without realizing it. Once she was asked what her dream guy would be, and she said Walter Matthau in Grumpy Old Men and Nick fits that perfectly. He really is like a grumpy old man. There was nothing these two wouldnât do for each other. One example of this was when Jess burns her finger on a cigarette lighter in the car and Nick puts his finger in the cigarette lighter so they would be in the same amount of pain. Who even does that?! I was so happy when they finally had their first kiss and when they officially got together. Those are some of my favorite episodes when they were finally dating. Any time they dated anyone else it became even more clear how much better they are together. They never fit with anyone else as well as they fit together. They really were perfect for each other.
4.) Corey and Topanga - Boy Meets World

Corey and Topanga are the OGâs of childhood sweethearts on TV. Theyâve known each other their whole lives and were very believable in their genuine love for each other. Itâs not always easy to believe that people who get married that young can make it work, but these two always seemed to defy those odds. They got married during their sophomore year of college. Today I would be like whoa thatâs too soon to get married! But they felt so right together, I believe I would still think they made the right choice. I may be biased because I grew up watching this show and I was even younger than them at that time, but it always felt like they were meant to be. I still remember what a big deal their wedding was. My friends and I were so excited about that episode. They clearly did do the right thing because the show came back as Girl Meets World, which was more focused on their daughter than them, so of course, I wasnât planning on watching all that. The only good thing to come out of that reboot, for me, was to get confirmation that Corey and Topanga were still together and had two kids.Â
5.) Arnold and Helga - Hey Arnold!
This was a very one-sided crush on Helgaâs part for years! This was another show I grew up on. I shipped them so hard because Helga was obsessively in love with Arnold. It definitely wasnât a healthy obsession, but she really loved him. It was hard not to root for her. She fell in love with him when he was the first to notice her and be nice to her on their first day of preschool. A part of me could identify with her at that time in my life. I was in 5th grade and was experiencing my first love too. She was always so mean to Arnold because she was terrified for anyone to even suspect she had a major crush on him. The best way to describe Arnold is through Helgaâs own words, heâs âa funny little football-headed kid with a good heart but no sense of realityâ. Helga was realistic and tough but very poetic and sweet in private. In 2017, when Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie came out, I was really hoping she would finally come clean with Arnold about her feelings. It FINALLY happened! That was 21 years in the making. Talk about slow burn!
6.) Tiffani and Jake - California Dreams

Jake and Tiffani are one of my very first ships ever. They were high school students who were in a band called California Dreams together. They were like night and day. She was the surfer type, who was positive, sunny, and friendly. Whereas Jake was a biker type who scared everyone. They were even too scared to let him audition for the band. He played guitar and would sometimes sing and write some of their songs. He wasnât the main singer of the band, but he would sing every once in a while. She played the bass and would sometimes sing too. They did have a breakup that was heartbreaking for me. He dated their friend Lorena for a short time, and it felt so forced and didnât work at all. Again, I could be biased because I love Jake and Tiffani, but Jake himself and Lorena realized they didnât work either. Thatâs when Jake realized he was still very much in love with Tiffani, and they got back together. This show also had the best theme song ever! I sing it every single time I hear it and when I do hear it, itâs stuck in my head all day.
7.) Monica and Chandler - Friends

I always preferred Monica and Chandler over Ross and Rachel. They were never on and off like Ross and Rachel, which would get tiresome. We never had to deal with that with Monica and Chandler. Obviously, they are friends and know each other so well that it was easy for them to get through anything because of it.
8.) Castle and Beckett - Castle

Richard Castle and Kate Beckett had amazing chemistry, even after the actors themselves were no longer getting along behind the scenes. I am amazed at how they were still able to be so believable at being very much in love with each other. Castle, a best-selling mystery novelist, and Beckett, a New York City homicide detective. Castle is inspired by Beckett and she becomes his muse for a new book he is writing. Castle uses his connections with the mayor to force the police to let him shadow Beckett. Their personalities clash in the beginning but they soon find their groove and become friends and great partners at solving crimes. The will they, wonât they was excruciating at times but paid off when they finally got together.
9.) Sabrina and Harvey - Sabrina The Teenage Witch

Sabrina and Harvey were such a cute couple. I already went into this show knowing they were meant to be because of the Sabrina comic books. Harvey was always the boyfriend. So, when Harvey left the show after season 4, I was surprised and saddened. Especially, since Harvey had finally learned about her powers. He did guest star in season 5 but was brought back for the last two seasons. I really loved when he came back because Sabrina and Harveyâs relationship was so much better after he knew about her powers. They didnât get back together and were only friends but whenever things got complicated, he was there to help her now that he knew she was a witch. She didnât have to hide who she really was or lie to him anymore and I really loved how that changed their relationship. Sabrina was dating someone else at this time and was going to marry this other guy, but she doesnât go through with it. For once I can actually say Sabrina and Harvey are soulmates and really mean it! Remember she is a witch and has a soul stone and Harvey was given one too. Harvey is waiting for Sabrina outside the church when she comes out and they kiss. Their soul stones drop to the ground and fit perfectly at 12:36pm, the exact time they first met seven years ago. Then they drive off together in his motorcycle.
10.) Kelly and Zack - Saved by The Bell

Who didnât grow up in the 90âČs and wasnât shipping Zack and Kelly? I thought they were the most gorgeous couple I had ever seen. Saved by The Bell: The College Years wasnât a great show, but I was happy to see Zack and Kelly went to the same college, and eventually, we got to see them get married in a TV movie with Saved by The Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas.

Teenage Wolfpack
This is, unfortunately, not a werewolf movie.
Thatâs it. Â Thatâs why Iâm reviewing it. Â The title suggested a werewolf movie, the film itself would have been way more fun if it were a werewolf movie, it wasnât, and now Iâm annoyed. Â I felt the same way about The Wolf of Wall Street but that one is way too upscale for this blog.
After opening credits set to some very catchy and extremely inappropriate swing music, we meet brothers Freddie and John Morgan. Â Freddie, in his early twenties, was driven out of the house by their asshole father and now commits crime and dates underage girls. Â John, age eighteen, still lives at home but is getting increasingly frustrated, especially when Mr. Morgan mistreats his wife. Â In search of money to help his mother, Johnny gets drawn into Freddieâs web of crime. Â Things start going south when the gang rob the wrong postal truck, ending up with mail instead of money, but Freddieâs girlfriend finds something in one of the stolen letters that makes him think maybe, just maybe, he can make crime pay after all.
On the surface at least, Teenage Wolfpack is a pretty serviceable movie. Â The dialogue mostly makes sense and you can usually tell whatâs going on. Â There are times when it sets things up and pays them off pretty efficiently, but at nearly eighty minutes long, there is also a lot of time spent dithering around accomplishing nothing. Â The opening, for example, where we are introduced to Freddie and his buddies as they show off their pasty German bellies at a swimming pool. They sexually harass random women, beat up the staff, and annoy their girlfriends. Â This bit is far too long and ultimately does very little for the story. Â Later weâre treated to a lengthy dance number, a weird sequence with a boy who admires Freddie throwing away his jacket, and a kidnapped dog, which are similarly useless.
The dog especially. Â Itâs a little wiener dog and itâs very cute, but it never does anything except hang out and be cuddled. Â I kept expecting it to either get killed or for it to somehow be instrumental in the plot but itâs just a random dog and when things are supposed to be getting intense it vanishes from the story. Â It also never barks once, which makes me wonder if the movie crew sedated it before filming. Â My neighbours have two dachshunds and those little bastards never shut up, ever.
Outside of that, the story makes a reasonable amount of sense. Â There are bits in which youâre not sure what people are actually talking about, but most of those end up not really mattering. Â The final plot point, about the money at the bar, is not very clear at all â characters talk about what they found in the letter but we never get any details, or even see the text theyâre reading (possibly this was simply cut from the English dub), so we only have the vaguest idea what theyâre looking for. Â Worse for this ending, and the thing that pretty much kills the whole film, is that it is entirely lacking in tension. Â The guys are sneaking into the bar ownerâs house to rob him while John, who has had enough of this, races to try to stop them. Thereâs a four-way standoff between Freddie, John, Freddieâs girlfriend Cissy, and the bar owner, in which the latter two are shot, but somehow the movie manages to make this downright boring.
I think a part of the problem may be that the stakes here are much lower than the earlier robbery of the postal truck, which involved fistfights and sneaking by the police (does anybody happen to know when ambulances were invented? Â Because thereâs a scene in this movie where a policeman flags down a random passer-by to ask them to take an accident victim to the hospital). Â Here theyâre just sneaking around a house and their only foe, besides each other, is a man with a heart condition. Â I guess weâre supposed to be worried for the bar owner, but heâs not really a character, just an Italian stereotype even broader and more offensive than that skit from Devil Fish.
The other issue is that weâre not really sure what this movie wants to be.  Of course itâs a morality play, teaching us that criminals can never win, but it kind of wanders around that point in circles rather than attacking it from any particular angle that might unify the story.  There are repeated hints that John is going to end up taking the blame for Freddieâs shenanigans, but the story never follows through on that. Cissy plays it sweet for most of the movie but turns out to be the very worst of this nasty lot, lying and trying to turn the brothers against each other⊠that was kind of a fun twist, but itâs not at all necessary to the plot.  At the end, Freddie and Johnâs father turns up to identify these two criminals as his sons, but then the movieâs over, without any attempt at exploring what this means for the family.  Mr. Morgan is clearly upset to see them getting arrested, but whether he will reconcile with Freddie or just disown John along with him, we never find out.
Cissy, by the way, is supposed to be fifteen. We never find out how old Freddie is exactly, but heâs at least a couple of years older than eighteen-year-old John. Thatâs a little questionable, but whatâs even more questionable is the cameraâs loving attention to her ass, especially when actress Karin Baal was only sixteen when she was in this movie.
The thing MST3K would have surely had the most fun with is the characters, which are very flat. Â John is a Wholesome Young Man who does things like remind his brother, who has just stolen a car right in front of him, to obey the speed limit. Mike, Tom, and Crow would have added their own dialogue to characterize him as a hopeless sniveling Mamaâs Boy and it wouldnât be much of an exaggeration. Â Heâs supposed to be conflicted once the actual crime begins but instead he just comes across as a fool, willfully ignoring what Freddieâs really up to in the attempt to feel better about his own part in it.
Like a number of characters in MST3K movies about young criminals, the movie balks at actually allowing John to commit a crime. He does hit a guy over the head with a gun, but the guy volunteered for it in exchange for some money from Freddie! While Freddieâs gang beat people up and rob the mail truck, John is merely distracting a night watchman by giving him a letter to mail. Â Itâs never very clear how much John knows about the whole plan. Â He went to Freddie because he knows he needs more money than he can get through legitimate means. Â He has seen them steal a car and when heâs sent to âborrowâ one he must know that the original owner probably isnât getting it back, even if heâs able to secure it without any violence. Â Yet in the face of all this, he does his level best to remain oblivious.
Freddie seems at once eager to have John as a partner and yet reluctant to actually bring him into the fold.  In T-Bird Gang the bad guys had Frank commit an actual crime as a test, to make sure he was up to it and to secure his loyalty.  Maybe itâs because John is family that Freddie doesnât seem to feel a need to do this⊠maybe the âhit a guyâ thing was the test, but it didnât feel like that.  Freddie canât seem to decide whether he wants to trust John or protect him, which is another thing that movie could have used as a focus for this story, but doesnât. It never really tries to get into Freddieâs head at all, which is a shame.
I guess the reason these movies donât want their âheroâ characters to commit crimes is because they want them to seem redeemable. Â The problem with this is that for a character to be redeemed, you need something to redeem them from. Â A person canât pick themselves up if theyâve never actually fallen. Â Then again, Iâm not sure this movie is about redemption. Â Freddie certainly never redeems himself. Â Cissy looks for a while like maybe she wants to get together with John and try a life of things other than crime, but doesnât. Â And John is only barely a criminal â we donât even hang around long enough to find out whether his fatherâs going to think he is, or whether heâs going to take the blame for the stolen car.
Like so many other of these movies, the only goal Teenage Wolfpack seems to have is to make the audience feel crummy. Â The moral lessons are barely a sketch and deeply unsatisfying. Â The title seems to suggest an exploitation film but the bad behaviour it showcases isnât any fun to watch. Â The most interesting conflict the story sets up is between John, Freddie, and their father, but that is barely explored and certainly isnât done justice. Â The film-makers seem to have been competent but the script gave them nothing to work with.
This really should have been a werewolf movie.  Freddieâs been thrown out of the family for being a criminal, but when John goes to him looking for money, he discovers instead the terrible truth about the recent slew of animal attacks!  John still loves his brother but Freddieâs pack of slavering werewolves are a danger to everybody in town⊠can he bring himself to break out the silver bullets, knowing that heâll be labeled a fratricide?  Can he protect the Italian bar owner, or even his own parents from werewolfish bloodlust?  That would have been an amazing movie.
